People will cheer this on and then they'll be shocked when Le Pen wins the next election.

She doesn't need to campaign. She can just relax at home it's already won.

u/uber_neets 36m ago

I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if she clears the first round.

-25

u/Latter-Ingenuity6709 5h ago

lol , no chance , she stole 4 millions and being charged guilty , and being voting all the bad laws helping the actual president . So you will be surprised but not the way you think .

20

u/Magneto88 5h ago

Read the opinion polls, she's beating pretty every much every candidate even having lost her legal case. If she gets it overturned, she'll sail to victory.

12

u/Greflin 5h ago

The other people sound like they're in denial? How many people said Trump would never win? How many people said Trump would never win again? LOL.

20

u/Gullible_Process6391 5h ago

Reddit thought Kamala would win in a landslide , this is expected.

-4

u/Greflin 5h ago

More than reddit tbh.

5

u/Gullible_Process6391 5h ago

Nah , just Reddit

4

u/COUPOSANTO 5h ago

She tends to be chronically overestimated in polls. Whereas the left tends to be underestimated. It will be a closer match than what you think.

2

u/Latter-Ingenuity6709 5h ago

beting pols owned by her friend what a joke . See and learn . And all the bots in this site will not change that.

0

u/Toucancel 5h ago

Half of the population is brainwashed. Her being guilty and Bardella being exposed as an antisemite has changed nothing. People who are voting RN are not voting them solely based on facts, it's part of their identity, and you can't change their view with the objective truth.

2

u/Sufficient_Row_585 3h ago

maybe because they have national objectives and individual priorities that aren't taken seriously.

1

u/Toucancel 3h ago

Like what ? Licking billionaires' feet ? Beating up arabs ?

-1

u/Latter-Ingenuity6709 5h ago

sorry dude they are not MAGA yet .

u/Gullible_Process6391 5h ago

Le Pen is leading the polls , people don't really care at this point. And if it's not her , it will be someone else. People are simply fatigued of this.

-23

u/Puzzleheaded_Gene909 5h ago

Hahaha fatigued. Insane how your guys lot reads identical literature.

Oh people do care about corruption. A lot actually.

15

u/Gullible_Process6391 5h ago

I fail to understand how africans burning down a street (which will be rebuild with tax payer money extracted from the ever shrinking french middle class) is gonna reduce corruption.

-13

u/Puzzleheaded_Gene909 5h ago

…you think these protestors are “Africans”?

Hahaha got damn man.

Oh shoulda looked at your account before commenting. 19 days old. Makes a lot more sense now.

9

u/Gullible_Process6391 5h ago

In the videos I've seen of these protest the indigenous french always appear to be in the minority yes. It's mostly subsaharan africans and magrebis

-5

u/Puzzleheaded_Gene909 5h ago

Are you familiar with the terms anecdotal evidence and cognitive bias?

1

u/theveezer 3h ago

Would you have a debate with a nazi militant during 1933-1945 ? I guess you wouldn't, because they don't answer to truth, logic and reasoning, it's all about hate. So don't bother here either, vote, until it's too late.

Yeah she's a corrupt pro Putin (that's an oxymoron) and also dumb AF. She's gonna win though.

4

u/Puzzleheaded_Gene909 5h ago

Pretty messed up to vote for a party that is funded by a war criminal/dictator, no?

0

u/Intrepid_Egg_7722 5h ago

"First time?"

  • from an American

-1

u/howimetyourcakeshop 5h ago

No not really, Europe has bein through this shit as a whole before, or did you forget ww2?

-2

u/Pelya1 5h ago

Too early bro. My bet is these protests will be blamed on Russia mid November at earliest

42

u/Fluffy-Greenn 5h ago

This is exactly what's gonna happen. People don't learn until it's too late and then act surprised.

56

u/Gullible_Process6391 5h ago

Reddit is under the impression that the average working person has a positive reaction to such things. I knew Trump was gonna get reelected when I saw those videos of people in California burning down city blocks while waving Mexican flags.

2

u/azFRS 13m ago

reddit is unable to undestand it's the far 10% on the left in an echo-chamber and not the norm. they cheer on ever single thing that results in their downfall and act surprised. Trump is in office because of this "anything other than the most extreme left position is wrong".

1

u/JumpingYourBone 2m ago

reddit is also under the impression that lepen has not been campaigning for years and never won. centrists don't want her either. people have been actively voting against her.

-10

u/S0uNDJaN 5h ago

That was not the reason why Trump was elected. People suffered from inflation and the Democrats hat no answer to their problems. Trump promised no more wars and decreased prices.

17

u/Gullible_Process6391 5h ago

The left in France has also run the economy into the ground , but that's a given and usually doesn't prevent people from voting left wing.

2

u/cliffordlloyd_art 2h ago

the fuck are you talking about, in the last 28 yrs we had right wing governments except for 4 yrs with Holland who was arguably center-left.

right wing capitalists are the reason we're in this mess.

1

u/Check_Me_Out-Boss 2h ago

Sure. As long as you move the meter of what's categorized as "left" waaay over.

Then everyone seems right wing. Just like how people say Obama was right wing.

-1

u/ArchiTheLobster 1h ago

...What? 3 of the last 4 French presidents were right wing and that's a fact, or do you think Macron is a leftist??

1

u/Check_Me_Out-Boss 27m ago

He's certainly not right wing, bub.

-2

u/ArchiTheLobster 21m ago

He is most certainly center-right, not hard-right mind you but a liberal/neoliberal, so still right wing

-1

u/cliffordlloyd_art 1h ago

Sarkozy and Chirac were absolutly right-wing, Holland was center left and Macron campaigned on being centrist but his governing and policies are right wing, and his party is pondering to the far right. So no.

1

u/Check_Me_Out-Boss 27m ago

Macron is so right wing that Le Pen is leading the polls.

Got it.

-2

u/S0uNDJaN 5h ago

So did the right in france and people still voted for Sarkozy and Macron. Now pepole tend to vote far left and far right as Macron is not able to adress the peoples problems.

2

u/AdmirableSelection81 3h ago

It was inflation plus the insane border situation

2

u/S0uNDJaN 3h ago edited 3h ago

And he did nothing about it, made Inflation even worse and started a war instead of leaving Middle East.

2

u/need_a_medic 2h ago

What he did after being elected is irrelevant to this discussion.

2

u/S0uNDJaN 2h ago

Just like the comment above mine. Trump was not elected because of some protesters and the far left or far right in France will not be elected because of the French protesters, they will be elected if the gouvernment does nothing about the increasing cost of living.

1

u/bobo7448 29m ago

What? How do you think this will change public opinion? I am French and live in France the protests will most likely be used by the right to fear monger against Arab emigration, and stricter policing. But it will motivate anyone who participate to vote left and many young people are participating, they are the least present at the polls so hopefully they will vote more this cycle.

I still think the right will win anyway but the protests aren't doing much to radicalise undecided people.

22

u/AirborneCritter 5h ago edited 5h ago

Yeah the one who's party members are known not to show up the european parliament, the one that was comdamned for "derailing" public funds, the one who's party has ties to Putin's Russia and received money from russian banks, the one who's party's logo is the same as the italian's fascist party logo. The one who's party is know to have been funded by some SS and the notoriously racist negationist Jean Marie Le Pen.

The one party that always claims to defend workers' rights but never votes laws that would actually help them at the assembly, but acts all shocked when Macron or others from his governement violate peoples' rights or create austerity when it's what they have planned.

The one that had to have secret meetings with rich CEOs to reassure them about what the party wanted to do politically.

Hard to say where the public opinion will go but it doesn't seem to be favorable to the police.

Now there will be a match but it won't be a landslide for the RN.

u/Wayoutofthewayof 5h ago

How is this relevant to what OC said?

10

u/Gullible_Process6391 4h ago

Relevance is a white supremacist capitalist construct

0

u/AirborneCritter 3h ago

I don't know how to be clearer I'm not made of glass

3

u/Exact-Ad-4132 5h ago

Sounds like a certain American government

9

u/fuzzygreentits 5h ago

They were shocked that a banking exec sold them out.

They might just be fucking stupid.

-3

u/sebastianinspace 5h ago

no one voted for macron, they voted against le pen. everyone knows he is a center right rich finance guy, no one is surprised, dickhead. additionally, the people protesting right now are high school students. the french elections are every 5 years. you need to be 18 years old to vote in france. the people in this video were maybe 11, 12 or 13 years old the last time macron was elected and maybe 6, 7 or 8 years old the first time he was elected. they weren’t the ones voting at the time. this extra information makes what you wrote sound super fucking stupid doesn’t it?

2

u/blue_cadet_1 5h ago

These 13 year olds are pretty strong for their age.

2

u/sebastianinspace 4h ago

learn to read

-5

u/headermargin 5h ago

The French never struck me as intelligent.

5

u/AccomplishedFall6603 5h ago

There will be more of these if she is elected.

5

u/Gullible_Process6391 5h ago

There will be recurring summers of Floyd for the rest of our lives , I've come to accept this.

4

u/DizzyLdn 3h ago

And frankly, people will be shot. It won’t be the police being shot.

2

u/DizzyLdn 3h ago

Just to add - it will be a fucking tragedy if/when it happens. No one deserves to die or be multilayer or being beaten up for protesting or using their democratic rights. And no one deserves to die for looting a pair of trainers. Just to make that clear.

2

u/EatenAliveByPugs 4h ago

"Lets thoughtfully align all our actions with what uneducated idiots may think lest uneducated idiots start voting for uneducated political idiots tearing the country apart"

3

u/Cute_Disaster_6867 3h ago

I’m voting for Marine Le Pen next year. I’ve had enough of all this fucking chaos.

1

u/WohooBiSnake 1h ago

Mdr, attends toi à encore pire alors

1

u/Cute_Disaster_6867 1h ago

1

u/TooBusySaltMining 2h ago

South America and now Europe is becoming more politically right.

1

u/Prestigious_Plant662 31m ago

It's my time to get downvoted, but le pen would have been better than macron. If le pen did a 10th of what macron have done, protests would have been way harder, France would have received European and international sanctions, but there it's an former rotschield employee and friend of multimillionaires so it's ok

1

u/NamelessPawnOnStrike 1h ago

I hope she's everything the left accuse her of and 100x worse so that Europe can finally have some peace and order.

0

u/_Abiogenesis 5h ago

Wait for the protests when it’s her in power now…

2

u/Gullible_Process6391 5h ago

She will do nothing , because right wing politicians are cowards

1

u/nerkuras 1h ago

There will be no protests against her when she's in power, instead they'd continue to protest En Marche and the rest of the opposition for not stopping Le Pen.

-1

u/sharksareok 4h ago

If she does prepare to see a proper revolution, the kind you only see other 200 years
