No clue what she is, but I thought the coloring was worth a share. My phone camera isn't that great, but you get the idea.

She didn’t have a web and it’s getting pretty cold here, I’m gonna take her home and see if she’ll lay eggs since she looks gravid. Hopefully I can save her spiderlings.

Had a shipment delivered to my house and this guy crawled around.

I was scooting this lil guy along so my dog wouldn’t eat him. He didn’t look too healthy, so I was letting him take his time, but I noticed he was walking a bit weird so I started to film..then this happened!
I see these guys quite often on my property, almost daily during this time of year, but I’ve never seen one shut down like this. What is going on here??

Hi everyone, just wanted to discuss this topic. A day or two ago my friendly resident bathroom spider unfortunately passed away. Unfortunately, I wont ever know what caused it, but it is still sad nonetheless, and I am hoping it was just old age.

Anyway, does anyone else mourn the losses of their spidey friends? I love all living beings and it hurts to see them pass, and I wonder if it extends to spiders with anyone else?

I have a vacation coming up to Colombia, hoping the locals will see my nails and let me to one of these guys 😂👌

I live in south eastern Wisconsin and saw this velvety red spider. It’s about the size of a half dollar.

Location: Portland, OR.

I have NEVER seen a spider this big in this area. Please help me identify. The photos don’t do a great job of showing the “horns” on its abdomen.

These tiny guys seem to have so much personality. It's always fun to observe and photograph them :)

Most likely Salticus scenicus, but there's a slim chance that it is S. cingulatus.

Which crop do you prefer?

To me, the pattern on its abdomen is a little work of art: cream-white spots on an orange-brown background. And the macro shot reveals so much more: the fine hairs, the banded legs, even the eyes.
