Jokes aside he is really cute in the anime, not in a “I love him” kinda way, more like a “I wanna squeeze his cheeks” kinda way.

Part Seven Will the adaptation integrate the emojis?

I'm kind of a anime-only and i'm enjoy jojo fridays the same way i'd enjoy Gyro's steel balls, and i'm curious, are they going to add the emojis into the adaptation?

What's gonna be interesting is how are they going to manage the transition from the Shounen Jump part of the manga to the Ultra Jump part, which has some differences especially in the artstyle, pacing, and nature of dialogue?

Various JoJo’s Part 3 should be classified as horror.

The amount of gore and gruesome moments in this manga, as well as the themes throughout most fights make it seem more like a horror manga to me. I honestly feel the series as a whole could have this classification. Of course some parts don’t follow this genre as much (Part 4, 5, 8, 9) but Araki does sprinkle horror themes throughout. It’s actually one of the reasons Part 3 is my favorite part. I love the body horror aspect of it a lot.

Various What did you think Jojo was before getting into it & what were some misconceptions you had about it?

I thought Caesar was Dio because of the OP "Bloody Stream" & i also thought Jonathan & Joseph were the same character, and Stands were a thing from the beginning, also i somehow thought Kira & Pucci were good guys lol. & that Giorno was the main character, because of the memes about his theme.

If all of the other small children from the various parts were put the same position as Emporio could they pull off the ultimate clutch that Emporio pulled did or would they be laying in the ocean in the coast of Florida? I think Hayato could come the closest, he pulled some wacky stuff against kira but im not fully convinced.

Part Seven Anime Whenever someone complains about the animation in Jojo, I know that they're LARPER.

I've been watching anime for over 20 years, and Jojo is easily among the anime with the best animation. One thing people seem to NOT UNDERSTAND about animation is fucking hard It is tô animate something. Especially when that something has anatomy and designs as complex as Jojo's.

Even Part 1 of Jojo is already better animated than 90% of the anime that come out each year. Parts 3, 4, 5, and 6 are masterpieces of animation. Part 7 is almost a miracle in terms of the animation; I was expecting something much slower or less detailed, but it's simply beautiful.

Either way, Jojo has one of the best animations on the market, by far.

Various How do you feel about anime changing final segments in some fights?

Overall, anime mostly follows the manga without major changes but from Diamond is Unbreakable onwards at least 1 fight per part got altered final segment.

In Super fly fight they cut almost entire chapter about Josuke slipping from transmission tower after beating the antagonist. Upon regaining consciousness, Kanedaichi helps Josuke by using Super fly powers. It's not an important change, but it helps to establish, that Kanedaichi isn't an evil guy.

In Golden wind they cut Pesci's last gambit in which he enters the turtle and tries to kill Bucciarati's teammates before Bruno pulling him out and pummeling him to death. In the anime Pesci just died like an idiot trying to crush the turtle. Also Trish helped Bruno to find Pesci so at least she was useful. Overall this is probably the only scene from part 5 anime that worse compared to manga.

In Stone Ocean they significantly changed Marilyn Manson's ending. In the manga Jolyne wanted Miraschon to surrender and return everything she had stole, without the use of force. Miraschon, however, chose to cheat and struck Jolyne in the back; in response, Jolyne simply overpowered Marilyn Manson through brute force and beat Mirashon herself. In the anime, by contrast, Jolyne continued and eventually won the catch game, exploiting a loophole in the mechanics of Marilyn Manson. While the anime sought to highlight Jolyne’s quick thinking, I prefer the manga’s version: it demonstrates that Jolyne is willing to offer even such a despicable person a chance to surrender.

In recent Steel Ball Run episode anime altered the final sequence of Oyecomova's fight. In the manga Gyro and Johnny didn't stop and continued to pursues Oye trough the smoke while in the anime they decide to stand still because the smoke is too thick. Also Johnny's nail bullets helped Gyro's ball to reach Oyecomova while in the anime they simply helped to find his location. As a result, the anime version feels less dynamic than the manga: the characters simply stand in place, while in the manga, the momentum of the pursuit is maintained right up to the very end.

Part Eight Is The Red Stone of Aja a toy?

I'm reading JoJoLION for the first time, and notice that the toy Joshu steps on has the red stone of aja on it. Is this just a reference that I shouldn't pay to much mind to it or is the red stone actually just a toy in this universe.

Part Five I thought part 5 would be about gangster stand users in space because I got this frame of the opening spoiled for me without any context

I know it sounds stupid but I was deadass waiting for bruno and his group to get on a spaceship AND FIGHT PEOPLE ON OTHER PLANETS!! God, that sounds completely ridiculous now that I look back on it. And to be honest, I should've realised that sooner since part 5 takes place in 2001 and also there's no way the characters would be fighting in outer space WITHOUT wearing space suits (that's what I saw from the image)

Part Seven Anime Stage 3 Trailer??

Post image
126 Upvotes

The SBR playlist seems to have 1 hidden video available. I think it was also like this before the stage 2 trailer dropped so maybe we’ll get a stage 3 trailer before October as by the end of this month we’ll be on the last episode of stage 2. They’re also yet to show anything from stage 3 apart from that hot pants character sheet so I hope we do see some kind of preview soon as it’d build more traction and hype for the cour since stage 2 ain’t the most interesting.

Yes yes i know it would cost a lot and take a billion years but it fits Jojos so much and it probably wont look as good either without a huge budget.

Part Six Is it universal experience to see evangelion stone ocean opening?

Post image

So I started watching anime in 2016, and came across JoJo’s when Golden Wind anime was airing, so around 2018-2019. I knew what JoJo’s was, and that it is pretty old manga, but nothing besides that, so when part 5 concluded, and everyone was hyped for stone ocean, this video popped out at my page and I was baffled by how ancient JoJo actually is, like seeing a video about a part that haven’t even animated yet being 10 years old was just mind blowing. Then I talked about it with a bunch of my friends and every single one of them had the same experience. (Also funny to realize that Araki has been writing Jojolion for around half of my life lol). I understand that in the span of whole lifetime of JoJo as series I am a newgen, but have any of you had similar experience?

EDIT: this post also made me realize golden wind got released 8 fucking years ago. when i first saw this video it was 9 years old, which means it almost doubled in age since then. damn time flies.

Part Three Sad JoJo Fact: Jotaro stopped being called “JoJo” so early on, this is the character who called him by that nickname for the last time in the anime

Post image
1.8k Upvotes

Cannot blame Araki for not normalizing the "JoJo" nick in part 4, but I think Jotaro should have been called "JoJo" until the end of part 3. Literaly every single Crusader (including Joseph) called him that. Kakyoin at least should have continued calling him JoJo.

By the way, I love that Anne also called him JoJo in the original story of the CD drama, and Joseph once assumed she was actually talking to him.
