Hi guys, I’m an indie dev working on a PC game and I’m aiming to get the game steam deck verified, but I’m really keen to get some feedback from steam deck gamers in terms of control layout and any changes etc you’d like to see. It currently runs in proton quite well, but I am aiming for a native build for the 1.0 release which should improve performance again. I’m constantly working on performance trying to lower the floor so even the proton version will keep improving. Free Demo here if you’d like to try!

this footage was recorded last night on my OLED steam deck. I tried posting on steamdeck sub but the mods removed it and suggested to try here.

Hi everyone!
After a lot of work and testing, I’m releasing Arcadium Space Odyssey on January 26, fully playable on the Steam Deck!
The game launches as a full release, no Early Access, priced at $5. Development won’t stop after launch either. Updates are already planned, with the first one coming just a few weeks later, again driven by player feedback.
The demo is still available and will stay up, letting you play the first five stages if you want to try it on Deck before release (the progress will also transfer).

Ahoy!
Releasing a demo after putting in that much work is always a big moment (Stress, nerves, but I’m good otherwise ^^). Three years since we started this adventure, and I figured: what better way to celebrate than a photo of my desk, where I’ve spent most of that time haha.
If you feel like going on a pirate adventure, you can try Pirates: Rogue’s Fortune on Steam: https://s.team/a/2423280
It works on PC and Steam Deck. It’s got diving for treasure, ship upgrades, naval fights, and plenty of surprises.
See you at sea!

Driving Rogue is officially Steam Deck Verified, just 7 days after launch.
We’re incredibly proud to reach this milestone so soon after release, and grateful to everyone who has been playing and supporting the game.
See you on the road.

Hello,
I'm one of the developers of a colorful 2.5D platformer on Steam with a free demo available.
I’d like to ask for some Steam Deck-specific feedback, since we don’t own one ourselves and we would love to know how well it works.
We’d especially like to know:
• Are there any noticeable performance issues, stability issues, graphical/audio glitches?
• Do the controls work as expected?
• Anything else that seems off?
If anyone is interested in helping out, let me know and I'll share the Steam page.
Thanks!
Edit:
Thanks to some great feedback, I was able to fix a few issues and make an update.
After seeing a few comments suggesting that I add a link directly in the post, I’m adding it here in case anyone else would like to take a look:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3862400/Oby_Adventure/
If you find any other issues, it would be great to hear about them.

We've been working on this project for several years now and it is progressing very well. "Ice Pond: An Ice Fishing Adventure" is a true fishing game, but set in a cute animal world with fictional fish. The atmosphere is chill and cozy, but the fish battles can become quite challenging at times depending on your level of experience, your gear and obviously the size of the fish. The game is playable on Steam Deck. 😊
Steam page here (to download the demo. If you like it, make sure to Wishlist, since the release is scheduled for November!): https://store.steampowered.com/app/4266710/Ice_Pond_An_Ice_Fishing_Adventure/
** Since we don't personally own a Steam Deck, we are very curious to know how the rumble feature behaves for you.
Thank you!

Hello SteamDeck gamers :)
I'm working on a game with SteamDeck support. I'd appreciate if anyone can help test a free Steam demo.
Does the game starts at all?
Is progress saved?
Is sound working?
Thank you!
A little more about the game. Colorsong is a relaxing incremental / idle game where players collect colors and spend them on hand-painted watercolors 🎨 An original feature of the game is that every color is a procedurally generated note. So as you collect more colors, the game's song unfolds and enriches.

as a Steam Deck user myself, I've been developing my game by testing it on my Steam Deck from day one. providing a great experience on the Deck is really important to me.
the demo will be on Steam very soon, so if you like it, add it to your wishlist and try it when the demo drops.

I recently released my first game Perihelion: Rogue Orbit. After launch, roughly 10% of buyers either asked about Steam Deck support or reported problems running it there. That was much more than I expected.
So I got to work. I spent a bit over a week ironing out performance issues and adding full controller support.
It's a good bit of fun, and thanks to the community it's fully tested and much enjoyed. The photo was provided by a player so I could share the excitement :D
Check it out on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4809810/Perihelion_Rogue_Orbit/?utm_source=reddit_organic

Hello!
I've just updated the demo for my game, Hostile Takeover, Inc., with full controller and control remapping support, so it's playable on Deck now! It's an action tower defense game with a corporate satire theme.
Sorry about the screen protector making the video look weird. Also the game is letterboxed from its native 16:9, I'm going to try to get a steamdeck-native 16:10 version done shortly after it launches on Nov 2.
If anyone wants to try it out I'd love any and all feedback!

Hi everyone! I'm the developer of Wands & Whiskers, a cozy idle cat collector, and I've been testing the demo on my OLED Steam Deck.
Free demo on Steam:
You rescue cats, decorate shelters, and use a wand to lead them through shelves, towers, tunnels, and rope bridges. They earn donations for more rescues and upgrades, including while the game is closed.
I've tested the controls, text readability, performance, saving, and suspend/resume on my Deck. It hasn't received Valve's Steam Deck Verified rating yet, but I’m hoping I can get it reviewed as more people play on Deck.
The demo has two shelters and 60 cats, and progress carries over to the full game. If you give it a try, I'd especially appreciate hearing whether the wand controls and menus feel comfortable on your Deck. Thanks!

I'm the dev on Deadly Dispatch, a tactical zombie elimination puzzle game. You build a multi-stage bomb and drop it on the horde. The whole thing is a balancing act: enough firepower to clear them out, but not so much that you bring down the structures protecting the survivors. It all runs on physics chain reactions, so no two drops play out the same.
Honestly, I was skeptical about the Deck at first. But I own one, so I tried the game on it, and it just plays best there. Deck Verified is the goal for launch. I haven't submitted yet, but here's the work that's gone into making the Deck experience right:
It fits the handheld really well. Short sessions, pick up and play, the kind of thing you clear a couple of levels of on the couch.
Two things I'd genuinely like from you:
If it looks like your kind of thing, a wishlist genuinely helps at launch: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4890070/Deadly_Dispatch/

Our retro inspired cozy cooking game, Kitch Witch, now has a demo up on Steam!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4816430/Kitch_Witch/
We're a small Indigenous team from Canada, and this is our first game as a team. Kitch Witch is a narrative cooking adventure game where you play as a young witch who inherits her grandmother's culinary clinic. You must now take up the mantle and heal adventurers with the power of your magical cooking!
This demo is a very early look into the narrative, art style and gameplay, however please note that it is still a work in progress and you may encounter some bugs and temporary concept assets. That being said we can guarantee there is absolutely no generative AI in our game, and everything is made by our small team including the models, portraits, narrative and music & SFX! Most of the sound effects are done practically too which is super cool!
We have a Steam Deck that we test on while developing, and it seems to run good on it! We've had some of our community who plays on the steam deck also say it works great for them. If you encounter any bugs or issues, please let us know on our Discord server which can be found listed on our Steam page.
Thanks so much for trying it out and supporting our small team! ✨💖

Hey Steam Deck fans!
We’re a small indie duo making a Portal-inspired puzzle platformer, and we’re running a closed beta starting 21st Sept (PC via Steam).
We’d love to get some Deck testers in the mix. We think it should be a good fit for handheld, but neither of us has access to a Deck, so we don’t have a clear read on how it actually performs on Deck yet, and that’s the thing we’re most keen to find out.
If you’re up for it, sign-up takes a couple of minutes: https://forms.gle/kEdmfMbdrowM6E5M6
Happy to answer anything in the comments!

I'm currently testing the playability and optimization for my indie game.
Game's name is Galdr Inkblade, a roguelike deckbuilder wordgame which is heavily inspired by Bookworm Adventures, Balatro and Slay the Spire!
It's coming to Early Access this October 13th!

A summary of our project:
Ice Pond: An Ice Fishing Adventure is a cute but true ice fishing game. 🎣❄ Pick a spot and fish! Level up, get stronger, and buy gear and power-ups to boost your performance. Join tournaments and festivals to unlock new lakes. Do odd jobs or challenges to earn extra cash!
Made by a small team of 2, boyfriend & girlfriend, who are making games since 2005. The game is playable on Linux and Steam Deck. 😊🐧
If you haven't played the demo yet, we've just released version 1.05! 🎉 We made a lot of improvements, especially for the Steam Deck version:

Hi together :)
We just published the release trailer and date for 'Ophelia's Paradise' on Steam and i think that the game works incredibly well on Steam Deck, it's the platform where we had most fun play testing.
It should run at 60 FPS out of the box, no tweaking needed.
We have a a demo which is feature-complete, the only difference from the full version will be how much content it includes.
There’s also a ranked mode where you can push your builds to the limit and compete for high scores.
Your feedback for some final tweaks before entering steam next fest would mean a lot to us.

CarveLight is an artillery game, Worms-like with a twist: no health bars, just mass destruction and throwing enemies out of bounds.
Check it out on steam: https://s.team/a/3244080/
