~Advice~ Thinking of stretching my ears

• Upvotes

Just looking for any advice to go the right way about it. What materials should I use and how long should I go between each size. Thank you.

Somehow the 2g septum stretch was painless

Post image

Literally every stretch that came before this had some kind of spice for a week or so, 4g specifically being the first time I experienced denting(about a month tenderness from that). I was wearing a 4g silicone earskin with a 6g captive ring through it so maybe the weight of the jewelry helped? Idk but I’m hyped to have reached this size. Debating on if I should stop here or go to 0g later on.

‼️DISCLAIMER: DO NOT STRETCH THIS WAY. You are guaranteed to blow out your ears. My stretching journey was uncomfortable and unhealthy. It’s a miracle I only got a single blowout.

November 29: forced a 12g taper into my 22g holes (6 years old). It hurt a lot the first time I tried. I didn’t know what I was doing, it was just the first taper in the kit I got from Spencer’s (yes I know how fucking awful they are now, but at the time I just saw them at Spencer’s had been wanting to stretch for years, so I bought it). I didn’t know I was skipping so many sizes. No wonder it hurt so much. Next day I took a hot shower and it went through with some resistance. No adverse effects afterwards other than tender for a couple hours.

December 5: 10g taper, stretching was painless, but my lobes were swollen for about 12 hours after

December 15: 8g taper, took 24 hours for swelling to go down, left lobe blew out so I went down to 10g for a day, stretched back up to 8g next day

December 19: 6g taper, absolutely seamless with no swelling

December 22: 4g taper, went through so easy that it fell out when I reached for the jewelry

January 6: 2g via taping, was easier, more comfortable, and faster than tapers

Stopped keeping track after that. Each stretch from 2g to 00g I used taping. From 00g onwards I didn’t have to manually stretch, they started fitting into the next size after a few weeks of healing.

I think I’m staying at 12 mm

Pls don’t hate me I was a stupid kid with no regard for my own health and well-being. I am now educated on stretching and my god what a nightmare I was.

How fast did you stretch?

I am really proud of how healthy my septum is honestly, as my lobes did not receive the same care (started at 13 with acrylic tapers... didn't go well). My goal size is 2g.

~Advice~ Am I too young to start stretching?

Hello! I'm turning 16 in a few short weeks and I'm super into the idea of stretching my lobes. I'd like to talk with my parents about getting a dead stretching kit for my birthday. I understand that this can be considered a permanent modification and I'm prepared for that! I'd want to go up to a 4g MAX as I know that further just wouldn't suit me. I'm totally fine with taking it all slow and I'm in no rush. With this considered, is it reasonable to bring stretching up to my parents in the experience of others who've stretched?

Additionally, I've got a few more questions: My ears have been pierced for about 5 years and were done with a piercing gun. What size is generally recommended to start with? Can anyone recommend a kit that goes from said size to around 5mm? Any other advice to offer?

Thanks so much in advance!

Took this photo for another platform but when I zoom in it’s kinda crazy how big they’re starting to look. I’m currently at 32mm and have been since late August. My goal is 50mm.

31F have had my ears stretched since I was 15, decided to take them out 3-4 months ago, I just wanted to start wearing more dainty cute earrings that I could never seem to find with my 9/16 ears. Well this is how much they have shrunk and honestly I’m not sure if they will go any smaller, getting them stitched it out of the question so jewelry wise what should I do?

~Advice~ Something Stupid?

Post image

I may have done something stupid: I decided to taper up my 12mm to 14mm. Bought a set with tapers and double flared plugs. The 14mm tapers slipped in with no trouble. Like no resistance, super easy, no nothing, so I slippers in the plugs. Same thing no issues. After only a couple of days, they started slipping out, so I thought it must have stretched pretty quickly, so I thought I’d try something. I picked up a set of 16mm silicone tunnels, and put them in. Probably stupid, because they aren’t tapers, but I got them in, and now my ears feel like they are on fire! I should take them out, and got back to the 14mm for a while, right?

~Advice~ 2mm - 2.4mm

Seeking advice here- I’ve been at 2mm dead stretching my ears for a couple months now, two, maybe three. And my ears are fine, in fact, I repeatedly keep loosing my gages. They fall out when I’m asleep, drying my hair, sometimes I just put a hand to my ear and they’re gone.

But I don’t think I can size up to 2.4mm yet. I managed to get them in, with quite a bit of massaging, but it didn’t take long for me to realise my ears where telling me it wasn’t right. It was painful and hot, my ears went all red. So I sized back down to the 2mm.

But what can I do here? The 2mm are becoming more of a nuisance as my ears are so well adjusted they just slip out whenever they feel. I’m unsure what my best course of action is here to both size up and keep my ears safe and healthy

Lobes Pictures of glass tunnels from stretch it body jewelry at low gauge?

I've got very small ears and am aiming to stop at 6mm or 8mm.

Can anyone who's ever worn glass tunnels from Stretch It Body Jewelry show me how they looked at the smallest gauges?

Plus giving an opinion on how comfortable they are/if they ever slipped out.

~Advice~ Help for a beginner

Hi!

I've had my loves pierced 2 times in my life, once when I was 6 with a piercing gun but they became infected and were just horrible, and in, i think 2020 at a piercing shop (though i'm not sure how reputable they are since I didn't have to sign off or have a parents permission when I later went and got my septum pierced and nostril) both times they got infected and I took them out, when I got pierced the 2nd time she pierced them through the scar tissue of the first pair, which were shot in crooked so I always had to dig inside my ear to find the hole on the other side.

I've always loved stretched ears, and i've been thinking of getting them re-repierced to start a stretching journey. Can I do that with the scar tissue on my ears? And what equipment do I use? Any European sites to buy jewellery? I live in Denmark and there's only really one store that sells stretching stuff and it's all tapers, and afaik from looking at this sub that's a no go?

~Advice~ Double taper plugs questiom

This has probably been asked a bunch but I couldn't find a definite answer online. Im currently at 0g/8mm and want to stay there. What gauge/mm should I buy double flared plugs to be able to wear them? The 0g plugs I have right now dont fit at all.

So I got my medusa done at a 4mm like 3/4 weeks ago. Just wanna know how long some of yours took to heal and if you went bigger, how long did you wait between stretches? Oh and final ask, where does good jewelry? ☺️ Thank youuuu7uu.

Lobes 15mm :)

I started stretching my lobes at 13 years old (I'm nearly 18). I did NOT start safely, I was forcing acrylic tapers through my ears and had several blowouts through the years. My earlobes have finally settled at 15mm, and I want to keep stretching, I'm just not sure if I have enough lobe 🥹. Does it look like I should take out my jewelry and let my lobes thicken first?
