Geneva Coop forgets that we speak French

More and more products sold at Coop have no explanation in French on the packaging. There are precautions for use translated at the back, as it is mandatory, but the type of product is not translated anymore. At first, this only applied to a few products, but now entire shelves are no longer translated. And I hate having to pick up my smartphone to find out how to translate words like 'fabric softener'.

I've always found it annoying to receive emails in German from Apple or Netflix even though I'm registered in French, and all my settings display French, including those that ask me in what language I should receive information. But it's more understandable: the majority of Swiss people speak German, so an international company will choose German by default.

But I find it less acceptable when you're in a shop in Geneva, a French-speaking city. Is it just me who gets annoyed with this?

UPS asking for obscene import fee 4k CHF!

Hi all, i have been living in switzerland (canton aargau) for a year now and have recently decided to ship my personal PC to switzerland.

I filled out an 18.44 and attached it to the parcel while shipping (well my sister did haha) - i presumed this would he enough to cover it as personal belongings and be exempt from vat.

After about a week i have recieved an invoice of 3707 CHF, valuing the goods at 44k CHF.

I was wondering if anyone knew the process of disputing this, since the pc is worth no more than 500 chf and its a number i really cant afford.

Thanks for any help, any and all will be very useful!
