Grilled cheese and tomato soup is a terrible combination. It doesn't go well together, and canned tomato soup is terrible.

I love grilled cheese. If I have fresh tomato, I'll put a slice on before closing the sandwich (I cook both sides at once, then put them together) grilled cheese goes well dipped in a good marinara (think the good semi-chunky stuff that you get with mozzarella sticks) tomato soup? Hard pass.

OP doesn’t like tomato soup. He said he was fine with marinara, and pizza sauce is way closer to marinara than tomato soup.
