GSOE Video Location

It looks like the GSOE was filmed in Amargosa Valley facing southwest looking toward California (from the Nevada side of the border.) This is the same location REM used on the cover of their New Adventures in Hi-Fi album.

As we all know, the Joshua Tree cover photo was taken at Zabriskie Point - which is about 1 hour driving southwest from Amargosa.

The actual joshua tree from the Joshua Tree album is another hour drive west from Zabriskie.

As expected, Anton's visuals in the video are amazing. His style is instantly recognizable.

The actual Joshua Tree no longer exists, unfortunately.

From some of the actors Instagram accounts, it was filmed at Cougar Butte north of Lucerne Valley. In some scenes we can see the switch back road Crystal Creek road that goes up to the San Bernardino Mountains. This is about 150 or so miles south of our Joshua tree location.
