Orange line has been removed. Yellow line will have some busses traveling clockwise and some going counterclockwise around the center of campus instead.

To all branched students looking to move to Storrs.

EDIT - Folks correctly pointed out Spring to Storrs is not applicable. There is a limited process to change campuses in before the usual 54-credit requirement.

I'm a CLAS and UConn MPA alum who worked an on-campus job in an advising office. Unless you can demonstrate substantial new information that was not presented on your application, UConn WILL NOT accept your appeal for a campus change to Storrs. The University received 55,000 applicants, and there will be Storrs students that probably won't have access to housing. I understand this is disappointing, but it's not the end of the world. There is a process to request an early campus change to Storrs: https://campuschange.uconn.edu Make sure you do well. UConn will generally prioritize majors that require courses only offered at Storrs.

I seriously recommend the Community College route. It is incredibly inexpensive, and more or less all of your credits will transfer. UConn maintains a database of how specific courses will transfer here: https://admissions.uconn.edu/apply/transfer/transfer-credit/equivalencies/. If you want the "traditional" college experience, all of the CSUs, including Central and Eastern are good schools. Finally, it is MUCH easier to get into Storrs as a transfer student. I graduated HS with decent extra curriculars, employment experience, and a 3.9 unweighted GPA. I was branched, and disappointed. I attended UMass Amherst for one year, and successful transferred to UConn for my sophomore year with only a 3.1 college GPA. I regret going to UMass that one year because of the insane cost.

It's disappointing, I know - but you can get into Storrs soon, (almost certainly by the end of your Sophomore year). Do well, and good luck. Feel free to PM me any questions.

Tire shops nearby that offer storage?

Just recently moved to Mansfield, CT. Going to need to swap to my snows in the coming months. Wanted to know if there was a shop that would store my off-season sets, as I have no room in my new apartment to store tires long-term. Tried calling a few local places but had no luck. Anyone know of any shops or even dealerships in Willimantic, Manchester, Vernon, Mansfield or any of the nearby towns that offer this? Or am I gonna have to just opt for a 5x5 storage unit? Don't have any friends/relatives that have the space I need either. Thanks!

Should i take the risk? It’s hard because idk what classes to take next semester if i don’t know if im in or not

AH 2001 - Midterm

For anyone who has taken AH 2001, what was the midterm like? Was it similar to the assessment questions, or were there a lot of brand new questions? A friend and I are combining all of our quiz questions to study from, and I'm wondering if that's enough preparation or if I should also go back through the practice homework assignments. I've averaged around 95% on the assessments so far by using the practice assignments, but I feel like I've probably forgotten some of the chapter material that wasn't directly asked in the assessment questions from earlier chapters. Does the midterm mostly pull from concepts and questions similar to the assessments, or should I expect entirely new questions as well? Also, if anyone has study tips, Quizlets, or general advice for doing good on the exam, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks so much! 😊

Should I take BIOL 1108?

It's not required for pre med, but for pre dental it is. I'm leaning pre med with some interests in pre dental. I was wondering if it would be best to take it now and get it over with or take it later. I never hear good things about that class.

Hey everyone! I’m 19M and I’m looking to make some new friends who have similar interests or just want someone to talk to!

About Me: I like watching sports like basketball and football. I also play basketball at the rec every week and sometimes play soccer. I also like playing video games

I’m an AIM major. I’m pretty chill and would love to find people I can talk to regularly. I’m open to making long-term friendships, so feel free to comment or send me a DM if you want to talk!

Left my bag at south

I forgot my bag at south but it wasn’t in the lost and found, I emailed the manager and he said they have it in their office. Is there a reason it’s in the office and not the lost and found? It’s a soccer ball in a drawstring bag

Stupid question about winter session registration

So, the winter session registration starts on the 26th, but my meeting with the advisor is three days later. How is the demand for the winter session classes? do I have a chance to get a class spot? I'm scared. Thanks!

Guys this class is killing me 😭. I did so bad on the 2nd exam. I don't know if anyone is on the same boat or simply willing to help a fellow student out, but I could really use a study buddy. Please feel free to comment on this post or dm me. Thank you!

Bread making club?

Hey everyone! I've been asking around to see if there is a club here focused on baking and bread making and haven't found anything. Don't get me wrong I think what CareCakes is doing is cool... but I want to find people who want to make other things as well. Also, I'm not huge into sweet baking, but am instead into savory and traditional baking. Is there something like this that already exists, and if not, is there interest?

econ 3209 exams?

i'm currently taking 3209 and was wondering if anyone in the past couple of years has had Prof. Levin before and has taken his exams. His explanation of how the exams are going to be is kind of vague and there intentionally isn't a study guide, heard it was going to follow the problem sets closely though. Any guidance/tips or does anyone know what is on the midterm?

What are the 2nd floor Babbitt study rooms for?

I know there are some on the third, and those you can reserve, but what about the second? They’re locked but I see some people in them. What are they for and can I use them?

Econ/Business Study Abroad in London/Internship

Hi I was wondering if anyone participated in the Study Abroad internship or regular study abroad in the economic/business program. I was just wondering if you liked it and if the internship was a crazy amount of work compared to normal semester. I was thinking of trying to do this or a regular exchange program in Fall of next year.

CSE 1010 or ENGR 1166

Picking out classes for next semester and I have to choose between CSE 1010 and ENGR 1166 (I’m a first year switching to the engineering school). Which one do you guys recommend I take? Will one better prepare me for future courses down the line? Or would it be better to take the one that’s easier on my GPA, whichever one that is. I don’t have space for both because I have to do my TOI class

For the cheat sheet with Svalestad I know we are allowed one page cheat sheet for the midterm but does anyone know if it’s both front and back? Or just the front allowed?
