I just got notice to do interview next month at Santa Ana FO.
Pd Oct 2025.
Anyone recently had interview experience at Santa Ana?
I heard they do separate interviews with their spouse and also check your phone?
Thank you

Green Card not produced
My wife’s Interview was on October 1, 2026 at Newark, NJ in the F2A category.
I130 - Approved - October 1, 2026 (Same Day)
I485 - Approved - October 2, 2026 (Next Day)
Today is October 17, 2026 and her card still has not been produced.
Can anyone else please share their delayed timelines?
Already reached out to Emma and it has been useless as they say it can take 30 days.
A lot of people who interviewed on the same day or even after have received their cards in a week maximum.
Thank you!

Hello My case status on the main myUSCIS portal hasn't changed, but when I look at the raw API data (case-service/api/cases/), the updatedAt field changed to October 13, 2026.
My Timeline:
Priority Date: August 13, 2026
I-485 & I-765 Submitted: August 21, 2026
Biometrics Scheduled/Completed: September 18, 2026
EAD (I-765) Approved: October 01, 2026
Silent API Touch (updatedAt): October 13, 2026
Service Center / FO: Currently at NBC, Local FO is Los Angeles
API Data Highlights:
updatedAt: 2026-10-13
ackedByAdjudicatorAndCms: true
areAllGroupMembersAuthorizedForTravel: true
closed: false
actionRequired: false
Has anyone had back-to-back API updates like this shortly after EAD approval? Did this mean your file was being transferred to your local FO, or was an interview/RFE coming up next?

Hi everyone!
I'm hoping someone here has experienced something similar because even my lawyer hasn't seen a case quite like mine. I'll try to keep it short. Location: San Francisco.
My timeline:
Here's where things get confusing.
In September, I received this response from USCIS through my congressional representative:
"Our records reflect that the constituent's A-file has been with the Asylum Office since February 2026. On July 31, 2026, he was granted asylum.
His A-file will be returned to the San Francisco Field Office in due time. Please note that the family-based Form I-485 is well within normal processing times."
My questions are:
I know I can apply for a green card based on asylum one year after approval, but I've already invested so much time, money, and energy into my marriage-based AOS that I really want to see it through. And also I know the green card based on asylum is taking years to get resolved.
I'm honestly exhausted and extremely anxious. After almost 7 years dealing with immigration, I find myself waking up in the middle of the night just to check my USCIS account.
Has anyone experienced something similar, especially having asylum and marriage-based AOS pending at the same time?
Any advice or personal experiences would mean a lot. Thank you!

Hi everyone! I’m looking to hear from people who have been in a similar immigration situation and successfully received their green card.
Here’s a little background on my case:
Entered the U.S. legally on an F-1 student visa.
Applied for asylum in 2020 while still on OPT. My asylum application is still pending.
Applied for TPS in 2021 and was approved.
Married a lawful permanent resident (LPR).
Filed my marriage-based I-485 in April 2025 while my TPS was valid.
My husband has applied for naturalization, but his N-400 is still pending.
Has anyone with pending asylum successfully adjusted status through marriage to an LPR rather than a U.S. citizen?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who also had TPS or experienced a gap between their previous immigration status and TPS approval.
I’d love to hear about your experiences, timelines, and whether your adjustment of status was approved.
I’m seeking professional legal advice as well, but hearing real success stories from people in similar situations would mean a lot.
Thank you!

Looking for advise from someone who has obtained greencard through marriage to another greencard holder.
Is it necessary to maintain non immigrant status after filing of AOS? I will be adjusting from B1 business visa.

Oct 3, 2025 — I-130 and I-485 filed concurrently; receipt notice sent
Oct 11, 2025 — Biometrics appointment scheduled
May 11, 2026 — I-485 in processing; nothing needed from you
Jul 7, 2026 — Work permit (EAD) approved
Aug 14, 2026 — Interview notice issued for I-485
Sep 17, 2026 — Interview, Dallas field office
Sep 21, 2026 — I-130 approved
Oct 16, 2026 — I-485 approved
Interview Experience
Our interview was scheduled for 9:55 AM, but we ended up waiting about 2 hours before we were called in. The interview itself lasted around 1.5 hours.
The interview was very chill and relaxed. The interviewer mainly asked basic marriage-related questions and was very friendly throughout the process. He also talked us through some of his own life experiences, and at one point, we even ended up talking about cars.
While we were having our separate conversations, he would occasionally jump in and ask us questions. It felt more like a casual conversation than a formal interview.
At the end, he went through the Yes/No questions from the I-485 form. Before we left, he said that everything looked good and that, as long as the visa is available, we should receive a decision soon.

F2A
Approved relatively quickly. Baltimore FO
PD -August 2025
I485/765 filed- Feb 2026
EAD approved- Oct 2 2026
Interview - Oct 14, 2026
I130/485 approved - Oct 15,2026
The interview was pretty straightforward with simple questions.
I'm from Nepal was under TPS until September 2025 and changed to F1 status in August 2025.
The officer verbally approved the applications and mentioned we may have to wait till visa is available for the Green card to be issued. She said visa was available so we are good.
My i485 was approved. How long after this did you guys receive the physical GC ?

Going to be one year since interview, PD: October 2024
Anybody have any recommendations on what steps I should take, if any, or should I just continue to wait.
case status: visa held in abeyance (since my PD was not current when the interview happened)

Does anyone have an idea what’s the latest timeline from AOS interview to the decision sent via USCIS portal?!?!? Preferably San Francisco field office. From K1—> AOS —>Decision
Please share your thoughts and experiences.

We're looking for recommendations for an immigration lawyer in the Dallas area that preferably has taken similar cases (AOS under F2A).
We already have the interview scheduled for November, so we don’t need to get help with the forms.
Do you have any recommendations?

Hi everyone,
I received my Green Card about 2 months ago, but I still haven’t received my Social Security card.
I have already applied for my SSN. Has anyone else experienced a similar delay after getting their Green Card?
How long did it take for you to receive your SSN, and is there anything I should do to follow up?
Thanks!

Longtime reader of these posts. Sharing our timeline in case it helps:
PD: March 2023
I-130: Approved on May 2023
Work permits and travel permit active since May 2023.
RFE: New medical exams February 2026
Interview scheduled: August 2026
I-485: Approved one week later.
Originally the interview was waved, but then they called us and it was an easy, short interview to verify the information.
Good luck to you all!

Hi everyone,
We have been scheduled for a second I-130 marriage interview at the Dallas Field Office, and I’m super nervous about it.
We already completed our first interview, and shortly afterward we received a G-56 notice asking us to appear for another interview with an Immigration Services Officer.
For anyone who has gone through a second marriage-based interview in Dallas, I would really appreciate hearing about your experience.
Was the second interview similar to a Stokes interview? Were you interviewed together or separately? What kinds of questions did they focus on? Did you have the same officer or a different officer? How long did the interview take, and what happened afterward?
We are preparing carefully and will answer everything truthfully, but the second interview is making me pretty nervous.
Any recent Dallas experiences, advice, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi all, looking for anyone who's been in a similar spot.
- I'm the beneficiary of an F2A petition (filed by my LPR parent), priority date July 25, 2025
- I turned 21 in early October 2026
- My PD became current on the Final Action Dates chart with the August 2026 bulletin
- I don't know yet whether the I-130 has been approved or if the case is at NVC
From what I've read, my CSPA age should stay under 21 either way, as long as I "seek to acquire" within one year. Can anyone who went through this confirm it worked out for them?
Also: I'm applying to US master's programs for fall 2027. Has anyone gotten an F-1 approved while an F2A petition was pending, or is that basically an automatic 214(b)?
Thanks!

FO - Boston
Our interview time was 10:50am and we got there on time to check in etc. it wasn’t extremely busy they had about 4 other couples but we didn’t get called in until almost an hour later. The interviewer apologized for keeping us waiting and after swearing us in she mainly focused on asking my husband questions as she typed on her computer. There was another person in the office as well who just sat there not saying anything. I’m not sure if she was in training. The interview itself was very informal. My husband was very nervous and kept laughing all the time but she kept reassuring him everything was good.
I brought so much updated evidence but she said she didn’t need any of it, that what we had submitted was more than enough even though it was 2023 when we filed. She asked for my green card and passport but in all the rush I forgot them on the table at home. She then asked if we had my birth certificate, which we did, so she was happy to take that. I brought updated pay stubs, bank statements, rent receipts, lots of photos, mail with our names and same address but she didn’t want any of it.
We were married before, divorced and remarried each other and she just briefly touched on it laughingly asking my husband if he realized what he had lost and that’s why he came back.
We were very nervous about that but she really put us at ease with her pleasant manner.
She asked if we had travelled out of the country together but we said we didn’t want to take that chance until my husband got his green card. She said okay I’ll take care of that today for you so you can go on trips together. She reminded us so much of our daughter and that made me feel good.
While typing on her computer she causally asked him questions like, where does your son and daughter live, what kind of work does your wife do, what kind of work does your son and daughter do.
The interview lasted about an hour or so and at the end she asked how we were going to celebrate. We told her our daughter had driven us there and promised to take us to lunch after. She then walked us out and said that after some more background checks we will hear from them. Our interview was the day after the new background checks were introduced on April 27th.
I am so thankful to God that we have finally reached this stage and can relax and enjoy our lives. I’m extremely happy for us.
I just pray that each of you waiting get some good news soon.
Thank you for reading.

FTA1 and silent case update
Hey, my interview was 5 days ago. I didn’t receive any approval for I-130 nor I-485. Today I checked the apicasetracker and I saw that My I-485 have 1 FTA1 update after the interview day and My I-130 has silent case update(officer touch) yesterday. Did anyone going through the similar process or anyone know what's coming next?
update: I got the I-130 approval.

Hi everyone!
I had my interview almost 3 months ago, and today I received a notification that USCIS issued an RFE (Request for Evidence).
I haven’t received the actual letter yet, so I have no idea what they’re asking for.
Has anyone experienced getting an RFE this long after their interview? I’m wondering if they might be requesting a new medical exam since I completed mine about a year and a half ago.
I’m feeling a little anxious because I was hoping for an approval after waiting all this time.
If anyone has gone through something similar, what was your RFE for, and how long did it take to get a decision after responding?
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

Sharing my timeline. I'm the spouse of an LPR, adjusting status under F2A.
- PD: 08/03/2026
- I-485 / I-765 filed: 08/03/2026
- I-131 filed: 08/07/2026
- Biometrics: 08/24/2026
- I-485 RFE (I-864): 10/05/2026
- RFE response received: 10/09/2026
- I-131 approved: 10/13/2026
- I-765: pending
- I-485: pending, no interview notice yet
- Field office: Kansas City area
Is it normal for Advance Parole to be approved this quickly, and before the EAD? I filed the I-765 a few days earlier, so I expected it to come first.
Also, what should I expect next? Does the EAD usually follow soon after AP? And after an RFE response, is an interview likely, or do some F2A cases get approved without one?
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, I received an RFE for my I-485 saying that the doctor who completed my I-693 was not a designated civil surgeon. USCIS is asking me to redo the entire medical exam.
I found this doctor through USCIS’s official Find a Doctor tool when I booked my exam, but when I checked again recently, the doctor was no longer listed.
Has anyone experienced this? How can I verify whether the doctor was authorized when they signed my form? Should I contact the clinic and USCIS to clarify this, or get a new medical exam?
My response deadline is November 2026. I’d appreciate hearing how others handled a similar situation.
