(i dont think it is 💀) also how did you all find the midterm? (personally I found the multiple choice so much harder than the essay portion) also for those in richez class hows it going so far? (ik the midterm is on monday (good luck btw))

Hey everyone!

I’m a CS student at UWindsor, and I recently built a browser extension called ContextBridge AI.

You know when you’re working on an assignment, coding project, or studying with ChatGPT, and suddenly you hit the usage limit? 😭

I made this extension to solve that problem. It lets you transfer your conversation to another AI chatbot like Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, etc., so you can continue without having to explain everything all over again.

It’s completely free and open source, and works on Chrome and Edge!

It’s one of my personal projects, and I’d really appreciate it if some of you could try it out and let me know what you think. Any feedback or suggestions would mean a lot!

GitHub (with installation instructions):
https://github.com/mujtabamisri/contextbridge-ai
Thanks guys!

And I know some of you are probably thinking, “Oh come on, just copy and paste? That’s it?” 😭
LMAO, I know, I know. But hear me out
It doesn’t just copy your conversation. It automatically opens the specific AI chatbot you choose and pastes the entire captured conversation into its chat box. All you have to do is review it and hit Enter. That’s literally it, lol.

I think blue and gold is for Outstanding Scholars?

Purple might be for engineering(?)

Does anyone know more about what each colour signifies?

Did any master's student receive an offer for the upcoming term in January 2027 ? My application is stuck on evaluation in progress since a month.

Hello! I am a first-year student trying to figure out my schedule, and I plan on commuting more to and from home. I am trying to build my schedule so I can get either Fridays and Mondays off or Thursdays and Fridays off, so I'm asking when we pick courses for the winter term. thank you!

Hello everyone , I am a first year student at uwindsor pursuing computer science ( software engineering spec.) , I like the program but I saw a program at uAlberta which is computer engineering - software option , so basically if i do this program at alberta I am open to same jobs as computer science ( software engineering , ...) and also more jobs like Robotics engineer , ... And i graduate as an Engineer . But applying to uAlberta is so competitive and I dont wanna go there and pay more money on residence and stuff like that and then get rejected at the end .

Does anyone know a program that is so so close to the computer engineering - software option at uAlbera but here in uwindsor , I know that finding jobs in software engineering is hard but i like software and i also like engineering so i wanna get more feilds . What program do you recommend me to switch to here in Windsor if i wanan switch to be able to work on software and machines at the same time ? And be able to work in any feild i want in the future software or hardware ?

Does anyone have any tips for the Immunology midterm [Dr. Rahim is the prof] or just general tips on what to expect for his class?

Hello uwin people,
I’m not thinking of starting anything but I wanted to get an idea of how many people would be interested and their thoughts about it.
From what I’m aware there isn’t a music production/dj club at uWindsor!

Hello everyone,

Does anyone over here have an idea of when can master’s applicants expect a decision for the Winter 2027 intake. My application has been stuck on evaluation in progress since August.

Thanks

would I still be able to purchase the $5 tickets at wiff with my student ID if I graduated recently? do they look at the "valid until" sticker?

So i applied to the Masters in Applied Computer Science program for the Winter 2027 intake on September first week and the status is still in “Evaluation in progress” when can i expect a status update and is there any hope for me to get accepted the wait is making me kinda nervous 🫪

Hi everyone!
I’m currently a Biomedical Science student at the University of Windsor, and I’m hoping to apply to Wayne State’s PharmD program for Fall 2027.
I was wondering if anyone here attended UWindsor and got accepted into Wayne State Pharmacy. If so, what courses did you take at UWindsor to meet the prerequisites?
I found an older course equivalency sheet, but I’m not sure if it’s still accurate. I’m especially confused about the anatomy, microbiology, biochemistry, and organic chemistry requirements.
If anyone has gone through the process, I’d really appreciate any advice! Thank you!

Hey everyone!

Just wondering if anyone here uses Course Hero for study notes or other course materials.

If you're having trouble accessing certain documents, I might be able to help with legitimate access options.

I'm keeping things student-friendly, and I'd appreciate a small contribution. Happy to work something out if you need help with multiple documents.

Feel free to DM me with the links, and I'll see what I can do!

Good luck with midterms everyone! :)

I genuinely do not understand OSAP anymore.

My tuition isn’t even being fully covered, yet I see so many other people getting significantly more than me even though their parents actually have income.

My family is literally living off savings. I work 48 hours every single week while being a full-time student because I’m trying to help support my family and also save money for a medically necessary surgery.

I barely get 3 hours of sleep most days.

And when I try talking to financial aid, I get basically no help. I’ve even gotten the whole “that’s how we all did it” attitude.

No. It fucking isn’t.

OSAP used to give people way more support. Everything is more expensive now too. Tuition, rent, groceries, gas, literally everything.

I’m not even sitting here demanding free money. They can keep the grants if they want. Increase my loans. I literally just want enough funding to cover my tuition so I can actually stay in school.

I am not a robot. I already work 48 hours a week while studying full time. What exactly am I supposed to do? Work 60? 70? When am I supposed to sleep? When am I supposed to study?

This cannot be normal.

I feel like I’m already at rock bottom financially, and somehow my tuition still isn’t even covered.

Why was school more affordable and OSAP more supportive for people before our generation, when everything they were paying for was cheaper than it is now?

And the private college situation makes me even more angry. How are there people going to certain private colleges receiving huge amounts of OSAP funding, while students at public universities who are struggling this badly can’t even get their basic tuition covered?

How does that make any sense?

Someone who is working almost 50 hours a week, studying full time, helping their family financially, barely sleeping, and saving for a medically necessary surgery apparently still doesn’t qualify for enough assistance to cover tuition.

What more are we supposed to do?

And then on top of all of that, you pay thousands and thousands of dollars in tuition just to end up with professors who have ratings below 1.4 on Rate My Professors.

So pay an insane amount of money, barely get enough financial support to stay enrolled, destroy your sleep and health trying to work enough hours, and then get a terrible education on top of it.

Nice.

The worst part is the complete lack of empathy from some of the staff. You explain your situation and instead of someone actually trying to help you figure out your options, you feel like you’re being dismissed or mocked.

I am genuinely thinking of jumping off a bridge at this point. Life is too fucking hard and unfair.

If anybody has been in a similar situation with OSAP where your funding wasn’t enough to even cover tuition, please tell me what you did.

Did you request a review? Appeal your assessment? Contact someone outside your school’s financial aid office? Is there anything else I can actually do?

Because I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to keep doing this.

Does anyone know when they might release the fall final exam schedule? I know it’s between Dec11-22 but I’d like to know when they will release it or when they’ve historically dropped the full schedule during past fall terms.

I tried to go to the registrars office and they were genuinely completely useless idk what they do all day idek if they understood what I was asking, like isn’t your only job to make schedules?

Thanks

Hey everybody! I am trying to find an online course that is very easy and fully online, including the exam, to lighten my course load for the winter term. Does anybody know of any courses that would be great? I am open to any courses, but I am a first-year, so keep that in mind.

Hey r/uwindsor,

UWindsor alum here. WinBasketBuddy started right here in Windsor. Built it because I was tired of driving between three stores just to find out where milk/eggs/produce were actually cheap that week. It's grown since, now covers cities across Canada too, but Windsor's still where it all began. A mod said I could share it here, so figured I'd do it properly instead of just dropping a link.

What it actually does:

1.This will let winbuddies to report any prices that they come across. Great tool for students who love to share the best deals they come across with their friends just by scan and report.

2.Compare real prices across Windsor grocery stores (and other Canadian cities), type your shopping list, it tells you which store is cheapest overall, not just item by item

3.Prices come from real shoppers reporting what they actually paid (GPS-verified), plus merchants and real store flyers, not some scraped guess

4.Set a price alert on something and get notified the moment it actually drops

5.Reserve pickup slots at participating stores

6.Earn real cashback (actual Interac e-transfers, not points you can never cash out) for uploading receipts and reporting prices at participating stores.

Free, no catch, no ads.

7.Real iOS and Android apps are out now too if you don't want another browser tab:

App store:

https://apps.apple.com/app/id6807160571

Play store:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.winbasketbuddy.app

Or winbasketbuddy.com on any browser

1. We have active users who were claiming their cashbacks with our participating local grocery stores. Every little counts

As a fellow (former, now old lol) broke student, this is exactly what I wish existed back then. Would genuinely love honest feedback, what's missing, what's confusing, which stores near campus aren't covered yet. Happy to answer anything in the comments.

please guys my classes all got moved, i will transfer you my Windsor spot, even through in some extra cash if you want. i am desperate and want to cry
