πŸ’ Pick Kool-Aid Got Me..

I do UberEATS on an E-bike/E-scooter in a really solid, lucrative market. I get non-stop pings on bike/e-bike mode and I used to just accept everything. Diamond was easy to maintain since it only required 50%, there were times I went up to 72%, accept add-ons that would be as low as $1.

Diamond each month for a year until a few months ago. Offers started getting worse and further, up to 5-6 miles for $2-$4 bucks. Add ons were not worth it, suddenly im at risk of losing diamond falling under 50%.

I was desperate to maintain it because I was getting those quests twice a week, now they stopped showing up as often.

I’ve fallen to Gold TWICE! hitting 39% the first time and bringing it back to 60%. The second time was today, as low as 29%!!

and to be honest, the offers are no different than the ones i’ve seen in diamond…

The cherry picking became second nature for me, no more accepting trash to maintain my diamond, accepting what I believe is best

Yes I am on e bike/scooter but I like to be able to last a full lunch and dinner session, the 3-6+ mile offers with trash pay destroy my battery and range and it prevents me from continuing to deliver throughout the day. So yea.. even on a bike/scooter, I am forced to cherry pick and choose the best looking offers πŸ™πŸΎ

i’d switch between my e-bike lectric xp 3.0 which did close to 15-20 miles of consistent 15-18mph for 3 hours for lunch

and my yume raptor 2 which goes up to 35+ miles going 18-20mph consistently up to 4 hours for dinner

that's the trap of their Uber Eats Pro tier system...they give you a honeymoon and then they start testing you whether you'll lower the floor of jobs you'll accept...I fell into that same trap in the early weeks when they implemented the Planner here in the Bay Area, but as the market collapsed, so too any urge to try to get back up there...just not worth it.
