That time of year again. Post all your lease transfer, roommate requests, and apartment hunting in this thread. Let’s try not to clutter the subreddit with dozens of individual posts a day.

Hey, I am going to my first football game (going with a friend) and have some questions. Do the tailgates cost money for students? Do they check for student ID when we enter? any other tips to enjoy my first game as a freshman?

Hey everyone, does anyone have an extra ticket for the game today? I know it’s last minute but, my friend wanted to come. Please help me out!

Does anyone have any opinions on whether tower 5040 or haven at elgin would be a better option? I’ve found good options at each with the same living situation (3 roommates) and at similar costs and in very similar locations so I wanted to see what everyone’s experiences were with either.

Hey yall, I am a freshman at UH and I am a Public Health major doing the Pre-med track and a biology minor, I wanted to ask if anyone knew how the pre-nursing track worked because I wanted to see what would be best for me in terms of where I go after I graduate. I'm not sure if I should take the MCAT and go to med school or go to nursing school and take the NCLEX. What classes would I need for Pre-nursing major and what are yalls thoughts on comparing both Pre-med and Pre-nursing?
Edit: I forgot to mention I have taken Dual Credit Courses aswell, so that could help with speeding up the process of whatever plan I choose.

I got mine Wednesday I have the confirmation email and the other and ticket order in the portal but they never sent it. I’m getting worried. I’ve been to every game and this has never happened before

Typing this while I'm studying for an exam but I never really get to do anything in the Halloween season. First of all I'm a senior and have missed out on so much. So I was wondering if anyone wanted to form some kind of group so we can go to parties together and make plans. You can DM me or drop your insta @ tried this last year but I asked on the day of Halloween. That's why I'm asking in advance 😭

my free student ticket is for general admission, and they would have to buy a ticket to another section, so is there no way we’d be able to sit together at the game?

Has anyone taken Orgo 1 lab in the summer and if so how was it? I know we're preparing for spring registration but I wanted to know from anyone who has done it if it would be ok to take it in the summer (bc it's done over a shorter duration and i'm not sure if that makes it more difficult) and if not, I guess I would just take it next sem in the spring. any advice/experiences is much appreciated! :)

on the portfolio submissions website, it tells you that you have to add your letters of rec to the SlideRoom portfolio. Am I supposed to make my teachers put it in there and then hit submit? How do I keep myself from viewing the letter of recommendation?

Has anybody heard of the UH Centennial Games Competition? I got an email for it. There's a track to design a video game in a team of no more than 5 students. There are other interesting tracks in there too. Is anyone interested in participating?
Registration due date is November 6, 2026.
Final event is April 16, 2027.

I’m freaking out because I want to plan my classes for next semester and they said that they’d be doing interviews early to mid October. Has anyone who applied heard back?
