On a surprisingly interesting note, a lot of people like to watch UH on TV, more than most Big 12 schools
So we're really not that bad off

The BigXII didn't add UH because they felt bad for us, they added us because we were/are clearly one of the best value additions they could've made, attendance issues or not.

This weekend's game against Ok State should bring in good numbers since it's two ranked schools playing on Fox.
If Houston wins, the Utah game will be very compelling.

This doesn’t indicate anything. We draw well on Fox because it’s more widely available. We draw poorly on ESPN2 because it’s less widely available.

Yes but many other schools have been on the same channels with the same timeslots and don't draw UH numbers

The number one each week is the game on Fox…now we’ve been winning so we keep getting prime slots and channels, but this isn’t exactly indicative of too much

The only people who care about stadium attendance are people from other universities and idiots on espn who just want something to talk about. The people who actually deal with money and valuations don’t give a shit because the money is in the TV deals, which is driven by viewership… for which Houston has great numbers

I do watch in tv with my elderly dad who needs to not bake in the sun or drive at night.
He really enjoys watching the games together.
He purchased extra channels for the basketball game tonight even so we can all watch together.
