I got my wife back! Sort of! (Tarkovsky-Strugastky event update!)

Hello my fellow VX lovers! As you may remember, I had accidentally set off a Tarkovsky-Strugatsky event that seemed to displace my wife to a dimension that overlapped with the ceiling and walls of my house, her wails unending in all.

You may also remember that the shed had not moved locations, technically, but I was having considerable difficulty actually getting to it. A straight path would not work and a zig-zagging path got me closer to it, but in no meaningful sense. Plus, field distortions were occasionally explosively discombobulating the local wildlife, and I ran out of lugnuts to throw as I proceeded, so I tactically retreated at the time.

But then I found some kind of shrine (?) and, in desperation, I yelled at it that I just wanted my wife back.

For whatever reason that worked, but there was a slight complication.

The attached image is of my house. Kind of. As you can see, there are now two of them, identical inside and outside.

Waiting inside one of them was my fully rematerialized wife.

And waiting inside the other one was also my fully rematerialized wife.

So now I am in something of a pickle.

I have two wives but most of my livestock gradually fell to the discombobulation fields and the concurrent change in atmospheric cover (it is not clouds, although it looks enough like clouds) has killed most of my crops.

What is left is not enough to feed all three of us. More like one and a half of us. She (both of her I guess) understands that I am priority here because I am the only one who can fix it. I think.

Nevertheless, some of the field distortions pulled back after I built a Zonglon refractor and cranked that puppy to 100!

I am considering making a run to the city but I noticed something unusual when I went into town to buy a perhaps excessive amount of lubrication for reasons my sense of decency will not allow me to go into.

The town was sort of... empty.

So I picked up what I came for but now I am wondering if perhaps the Zonglon refractor might have displaced the townspeople in the same way as my wife.

If anyone has encountered this problem, please let me know if it is worth going to the city in the sense that anyone will actually be there. And also please let me know if you fed yourself with stocks left by the missing townspeople and what they thought of that if you were able to bring them back. (Also, whether I should bring them back.)

Thanks!
