Listen, I actually thought the first three panels of this comic were hilarious and true to me in an ironic way. Also, cropping it down to three makes it follow the rules of comedy, automatically making it funnier

I explain why in my post! Comedy has rules, and your comic wasn't really following any of those rules. By cutting it in half, it now follows the rule of thirds

Unfortunately, the fourth panel on your second page completely destroys the joke by going back to the same style as the 1-2 set-up

Edit: also, a good part of the joke is the simplicity of that third panel. I honestly think the crude wolf drawing is the best way to end the joke, whether you're laughing at or with it
