dumb question from ignorant man incoming- What's the advantage of doing this over traditional breast feeding? is it just so you don't get bit

Not a dumb question. I don’t pump often thats why I don’t have a stash. I only breastfeed but today I found out he has thrush so I was told to pump and give it to him in a bottle and this is what happened 🫩. Now I have him on me trying to get what he can from me.

There’s really no reason to stop nursing just because baby has thrush.
Also being “empty” isn’t really a thing. Start nursing & they’ll get milk immediately. Babies remove the milk more efficiently than pumps anyways. Even if the pump can’t seem to get any more, baby generally still will afterwards.

Downvoting for what since nobody can counter what I said? None of what I said isn’t true.

I’m a woman currently on my second breastfeeding journey with a baby who had thrush just a couple months ago lmfao

Everything they said is correct lol. This is why we need more IBCLCs instead of misinformed doctors and nurses giving breastfeeding information
