I've been meaning to figure it out myself, but I never got anywhere, so I'll ask: is it possible to get past the Luzian "brand ambassadors" into the Housing Campaign before finding the prisoner and getting your real assignment? They are not very impressed by my fashion knowledge. Can they actually let you through or are literally there to gate your progress?

Yeah that's true. I didn't even want to go to Reno's I was curious if you can meet Duchess before Silhouette but I guess not

you can have a proper conversation with duchess "out of character" if you pass a check while telling her about Pseudopod but that's the closest you can get before the torture scene.

I love that convo! I was actually curious if you could use The Shadow Mother against Silhoutte during the torture but that's too convenient, probably.

That would be really cool, it's a shame you can't really get much of a leg up on her in the end unless you shoot her during the date.

highly recommend a lawful evil cascade run zeroing out as many enemy agents and loose ends as you can, it's a lot of fun and requires some interesting planning and decisionmaking.

Yes! I was wondering if there's some super deep skill to get past them earlier. But I guees not.
