I guess its more helicopter spam for flyovers huh

Or this could very well not be related to tomorrow at all, see these guys training around here nigh daily

It’s unrelated. Army ROTC here will fly in a few birds each October for the cadets who are contracting to have a special event for themselves and their families.

Im surprised they just flew over the quad then, usually the flyover aircraft for the game do that pregame

Could just be showing off

Oh yeah they were showing off. The pilots who do this event for the contracting are always from the Texas National Guard, and typically were always members of the Corps here. It’s basically a salute back to where they came from to fly over the quad whenever they’re in the area.

Well, I hate to be that guy, but they did indeed just announce that NG choppers are indeed today's flyover in the stadium

Oh sick. Yeah makes sense. I just meant the landing on Simpson field was unrelated, but it tracks it’s the same pilots

It's nice of them to land in a way that allows them to reuse the helicopter. That is not always the policy with those things.

I was there when the crash happened. It was a horrible sound.

I too thought they were referencing the crash

I was on the lift they dropped off at Swift just before. Changed my life.

I hate helicopters now, and you can tell any helicopter you see I said so.

I'm not even talking about the one that crashed into Texas A&M. Blackhawks have killed like a thousand people just by falling out of the sky for no reason and they're supposed to be among the safest helicopters in existence (you know, if you maintain them properly). Don't even get me started on Ospreys.

So you are just trolling???

I think he's just trolling helicopters, which he should, because they are sins against nature and hallmarks of man's folly.

Thank you for not needing it explained.

Helicopters don't fly, they're just so ugly the Earth repels them.

Y'all are putting way too much thought into this.

Is that one of those watch your drink signs that is flying around on the field?

Appreciate you posting! Is there somewhere you hear when they will land or did you just happen to be there?

I assume this is related to us playing the Citadel and making sure everyone knows who the top Sr Military College is or is it related to something else?

Army contracting ceremony

Is that different from a commissioning ceremony?
