Why do Antis always fall into the Apex Fallacy?
"No one wants data centers". They conclude this from seeing videos of hundreds of protesters... but the U.S has a population of 343 million!
"Everyone can become a master artist". They assume becoming a master artist is easy because they see hundreds of people do it... But the world's population is over 8 billion, the vast majority of people do not have formal education in artwork, and are also too busy to build up art skills!
"The tech industry is filled with scams". They say this citing Theranos and NFTs, ignoring the tens of thousands of successful technologies.
Why do they do this, but we don't? Is this a quirk with the upper-middle class?

I'm not going to comment on all of this as it is much more nuanced than you make-out in many respects, but I will add to this:
"Everyone can become a master artist". They assume becoming a master artist is easy because they see hundreds of people do it... But the world's population is over 8 billion, the vast majority of people do not have formal education in artwork, and are also too busy to build up art skills!
I think the statement "Anyone can become an artist, but not everyone can" is likely true. People can absolutely improve their drawing skills (or skills in some visual art form) but not everyone has the same upper potential no matter how much they plug at it.

"upper middle class" and ive lived in trailer parks my whole life drowning in medical debt. i think language needs to change, when people make these generalizations they actually mean "in my anecdotal experience", they mean to comment on what theyve observed rather than make a generalization like you just did. but ~in my experience~ most people dont have the knowledge to properly articulate themselves. then in some cases people assume instead of asking them to elaborate on why they think that way, it escalates, and the rest is history.

You are lower-middle class.

u/SpookyGeist01 10h ago
You literally know nothing about them, how can you make that claim?

u/CommodoreCarbonate 10h ago
If you can't infer basic things like that from text, you've got mental issues.

u/SpookyGeist01 10h ago
It's literally impossible to infer someone's socioeconomic status from text. That's nonsense. Or are you claiming that only middle class people are able to type eloquently?

Reread that last sentence.

no it was poverty. i didnt have access to proper water or food most my life. assumptions after assumptions with this fucking guy. is this a quirk of entitled ai users?

Do you want to spare any future generations from your misery?
Then support SI and robotics. Help them uproot capitalism.
3
u/Puppyzpawz 10h ago
youre literally doing exactly what i predicted in my original comment. sparing future generations has everything to do with providing jobs, removing sectionalized housing (ghettos), and making proper education more accessible and literally nothing to do with ai.

u/CommodoreCarbonate 10h ago
And how's that worked out for you so far?
3
u/Puppyzpawz 10h ago
pretty fucking good dude i volunteer and have a wonderful community that supports eachother with neighbors i like and people who love me. we are still lower class but support eachother. anymore assumptions, mr assumption man?

u/CommodoreCarbonate 10h ago
How many jobs have you provided?
How many ghettos abolished?
How many uneducated made educated?
3
u/Puppyzpawz 10h ago
i dont have the power to abolish ghettos but i have helped educate people on their rights and how to help themselves, and i have provided local jobs and organized volunteer services that keep the kids over here out of trouble. i donate house plants with instruction guides and im constantly showing people how to farm affordably, and how to take advantage of local plants. so, id say thats better than nothing which you seem to be assuming.

That is respectable.
We do not have to be enemies. I am Pro-SI because I see no other way to solve poverty.

The biggest one they all fall for
I would have been a rich, successful artist if it weren't for AI

You think the majority of anti is on the higher end of middle class? Very wild assumption there.
The majority pop is too busy trying to survive to actively protest, so it looks like there is less of us, could also say the same on the ai lovers side, I don't know any pros who are currently part of the lower class but I do know of anti's

is on the higher end of middle class?
I think most of them are on the lower end of middle school. Mostly 6th grade, maybe some 7th grade.

I'm talking wealth wise, y'know the class system of so rich it should be a crime, upper class, middle class, and lower.
Say what wealth class would you be?

This is trolling right? Are you really going to tell me about how antis always fall into the apex fallacy with a straight face?
