Wanted to give a reminder and quick update on a few rules.
Picture posts need a location and a description. Doesn't have to be an exact address, but generally what part of Arizona it was taken in. This has been a rule for ages and was suggested by users to help combat picture spam ("Wow, check this out!") and balance the many weather and sunset pictures we get flooded with. Plus it helps people know WTF your post is about.
When we get a ton of posts on one topic we'll make a megathread and try to bring the conversation together. Don't take it personal. I know some people love a million pictures about monsoons or sunsets, but many don't and let us know all about it. A megathread is the compromise. We don't do it often, so please just use it the few times we do.
Any political posts (or politic adjacent, like Flock cameras and Data Centers) needs to be flared Politics and are limited to established users here. This combats trolls and bots.
Recommendations for local businesses are better suited for your local subreddits like [r/Phoenix](r/Phoenix), [r/Tucson](r/Tucson), or [r/Flagstaff](r/Flagstaff). The exception are posts about things to do and places to eat that may be of interest to other Arizonans traveling around the state. Roofing companies, massage places, and thrift stores are more of a local thing.
Posts shaming or calling out people or businesses are not welcome here. I get the desire for a good witch hunt, but it's too prone to hurting innocent people. News stories about issues are fine, this is just about posting pictures of people who pissed you off or a business that made you nasty cupcakes. We've covered this policy a lot but there has been a bunch of these lately. Maybe it's the heat making everyone cranky. Either way, this subreddit isn't your personal attack dog.
If you have any questions, ask away.

Election day is coming up, so we're creating a discussion thread for questions about the propositions or other items on ballots across the state.
You are welcome to share your views on any of the issues or candidates across the state.
Here are some links you might find useful:
Maricopa County - what's on my ballot
Also, check out the r/Tucson 2026 Election Megathread
If you have other links or info, leave them in the comments. We may add them to the original post.
Keep in mind that our political rules are in full force here, so only regular members to this subreddit will be able to comment. And any personal attacks on other users will result in a ban.
The purpose of this thread to to create a civil space to discuss the elections and trolls, fear mongering, or comments that offer little or no value will be removed.
Above all VOTE!

wanted to film some trick shots and play some music. Obviously can’t bring a loud speaker to a range, so wanted to find public land. I have the ONX app but it’s too confusing to be honest and with all the laws, not sure where I can even go. I am north west Phoenix, willing to drive about 60-90 mins tops. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

So I pulled an Elk tag for 22N( I think, not bothering to look it up at the moment), the area around Payson for the first week of December.
I've never hunted before, so I'd like to find a guide that can help me have a better chance at getting one. Any referrals to someone that guides would be much appreciated.

I am thinking about switching from our current T-Mobile wireless Internet to the new fiber Internet. Is this worth it and does the fiber Internet work better than the wireless?

I’m looking for some recommendations for family to gift my toddler for Christmas instead of gifts. We currently have a zoo membership but it is quite far from us, we are in STV. What indoor play places or experiences does everyone love?

So my partner and I went down for emissions testing for her vehicle. We used to live in Yavapai and recently moved to Maricopa county so we’ve never had emissions before and weren’t sure what to expect. My partner was in the driver’s seat and had to get out while they tested but they told me I could stay in the passenger seat so I got a front row show to what they were doing/saying.
First when they started I was watching the screen and after they input everything for the car a pop up came up that said “Make, Model, and Year EXEMPT From Testing”. The guy doing it called over a supervisor who forced it to start the test anyways, that’s fine we aren’t bothered by that. But we can’t really figure out why the car failed.
The guy doing the test immediately grabbed this cord hanging and started jerking it around yelling “This better not be the f***ing thing I have to plug into and test!” He then called over another supervisor and asked about it. He said “I think that’s it but I don’t know man” and walked off. Then the guy doing the test told us that because this is hanging down he can’t test it so it’s a fail. Then one of the supervisors there said “No wait that doesn’t mean a failure that’s up to our discretion” the dude who was doing our test goes “I said it failed so it failed” then quickly added a different supervisor told him to say it failed so that’s what he’s doing (THAT NEVER HAPPENED HE WAS STRAIGHT UP LYING).
So they said okay you failed go park here and come in the office and we’ll tell you what to do. We go in the office and one of the supervisors who had been called over during the test and saw/heard what happened immediately says “So because you have two of these OBD connectors and we aren’t sure which one to test we have to fail you and send you somewhere else where they can test you.”
First of all, there is only ONE there is not TWO connectors. Second, I checked it myself afterwards and multiple techs checked around under the dash and confirmed this one hanging is the only one so that has to be it. I explained to the guy in the office “hey when we got the car straight from the dealership this thing was already hanging down like this and we were told it was fine.” and he said “yeah it’s not because it’s hanging down it’s because there’s two of them and we don’t know which one to test.” Again. There. Is. Only. One. 3 different guys shoved their hands under the dash looking for another connector and confirmed verbally multiple times this was the only one. And now we don’t know what to do, by the time we got out of there the place they wanted to send us to which was down in Peoria and was going to close in ten minutes so we couldn’t get down there. I also checked the paperwork and on the back is says “This vehicle has received a tamper fail status.” We don’t know what that means or what to do now.

I took a picture of the flower initially because i just thought it looked nice, and then after i reviewed the picture on my camera, I finally saw the tiny little critters. I didn't even see them at all at first with my naked eye
