Is it time for my husband?
We suspect we know what the council is going to say!

He’s allowed to be balding at his age

u/sharpasahammer 15h ago
I was 26 when it hit the point of shave. I didnt realize I was or wasn't allowed to bald.
16
u/aturtledude 15h ago
They mean he's allowed by the council to keep whichever haircut he wants, even the "balding" look.

he's already bald when the light is behind him. get him a nice bit of grey stubble too, he'll look refined and smart I reckon
21
u/batty_61 18h ago
Thankyou for that! We already know he's past balding, but he shaved his head once before and he looked brutal. Hopefully his looks have mellowed since then, and the stubble might help!

u/Top-Inspector-1467 18h ago
did he have any face hair? he's definitely got to go with a 'kept stubble' look. or it makes you look like some sort of android. I think with a grey stubble and nice clean head he'll look like a mature catalogue model

u/batty_61 18h ago
Ooh, I'll tell him that!

His smile is progressively leaving in these pictures, as he is more and more burdened with bearded beauty.

At first I was sure this is some parody / META post because your husband looks like Ed O'Neill’s missing brother

Did the other guy turn into the clippers or did he run away scared like my cat when I pulll out the vacuum?

Was this photo taken in a hospital?
15
u/batty_61 15h ago
Yes actually. I've had a minor heart attack, he was visiting me.
15
u/porcelain_kiss 15h ago
I hope you're ok!! That's so scary, I'm glad he's with you 💙 and i hope you heal up swiftly!
7
u/batty_61 15h ago
Thankyou so much! I feel fine and like a complete fraud, so it could be so much worse. Should know more on Monday.
9
u/TheCraftyHermit 15h ago
It's a heart problem friendo, you don't need to be on your last breath for it to be a very valid hospital visit. Instead of thinking about it from your perspective, imagine what you would say to a friend if they were in your shoes. Hope all ends up well.

Without the context of the sub this is in that title could be quite ominous. For bald ‘it’s time’ , for dignitas ‘hold’
1
u/psychedeliccabbage 15h ago
Especially since the picture looks like it's in a hospital room.
2
u/Admirable-Delay-9729 15h ago
I hadn’t noticed that until you said, clearly the context clues worked on my subconscious though

I think he kinda rocks this look tbf. Agree with the nose hair comment tho.

u/Best_Cobbler_3719 15h ago
FWIW - he could go either way.
You can tell what bald will look like already, but I actually kinda dig the feathery thing. Like, he made it this far with that look, he's earned it. Wear it proudly either way!

He reminds me of my dad!! I think the whispy hair look is endearing on older men idk

Shaving is just another word when nothing's left to lose. (Me and Bobby Mc Gee - Kris Kristofferson)

I don't know how bad your marriage is, but offing your husband is not the answer.

u/jeweldscarab 7h ago
A clear case of shaving the top of the head but keeping the sides ans back. It looks sophisticated. He has really nice hair on the back, you dont wanna lose that!
3
u/su_ble 18h ago
It is not time, it was time, a long time ago
3
u/batty_61 18h ago
We know. We were scared to do it because he looked so brutal when it was shaved years ago (we didn't plan to, I forgot to put the guard on his shaver) but the comments give us hope!
3
u/Fast_Association_764 16h ago
I wouldn’t. He’s got the hair he has and he’s already at an age where it’s not prematurely aging him. Let him keep his hair.

ugh he's soo cute I can't wait until my husband is an adorable older man 🥰 he'll look super good bald!

u/noahhisacoolname 17h ago
I don’t think a full shave would look the best. Shave the top and clean up the sides and back and he’d be golden in my opinion.

Does your husband make techno on YouTube?

This is almost like asking if it's time for Patrick Stewart to brave the shave. Your husband is at an age where balding is expected and looks pretty distinguished with the hair he has left.
3
u/Greedy_Ad2198 14h ago
Honestly at his age I like the balding hair, probably more than if he went bald. I think just a trim is good.
5
u/Arcamone 19h ago
Well, the good thing is that you guys already know how he will look bald. Good head shape and everything!

Meh he looks fine. If he wants to go bald he could. Hes lucky, the way hes balding doesnt look like "dude you should just shave it." Kinda makes him look a doctor the way he is now.
2
u/tearsofaclown0327 15h ago
Looks like he has a few years of life left. Probably too soon to put him down.

Leave him alone, he doesn’t need to impress anyone and he’s got you. Tell him he’s hot af and do fun things together instead of feeding his insecurities at his age.

Definitely time on top. I think he’d look really good with a buzz cut (not a full wet shave) and maybe a bit of facial hair. He could totally pull off the Patrick-Stewart-with-beard look!

u/katiegirl- 17h ago
Whew! I had to check the name of the sub. I was going to shout ‘don’t eat the soup!’

To go bald, yes, to start the first galactic Empire, also yes.
He looks like a young Ian McDiarmid
1
u/Rough_Draft_Ridge 16h ago
Shave the head. Migrate the nose hair down to the chin and he will look refined.
1
u/Fantastic-Dance-5250 16h ago
Why can I look at this pic and know that he is British?
Also, I think he should go for it just for fun. He looks great now and would look great bald.

He seems to be at an age where he can go where he wants really.
The issue with balding vs bald is that it makes you look older, here i dont see that happening, may he go and try what makes him the happiest!.
1
u/klboringband 14h ago
Horseshoe would actually look fine if he kept top hair much shorter. Earring looks great on him!
1
u/Adorable_Vast5676 14h ago
You know it was time years ago. But he has a good look... I do belive a properly kept buzzcut might look better than fully bald.
1
u/BigJohnSpud Bald - Man 14h ago
He‘s probably been more or less bald for years. However, he seems like a sweet and confident man who could use an eyebrow and nosehair trim as well as some grooming around the ears more that going fully shaven.
Let him keep his hair. He rocks the look in his own way and the smile is captivating.

Imo what he has rn is hella cute but it would be handsome if he cut it all off. Kinda upto whichever you both prefer

I mean honestly its kind of a vibe the way it is now. He's got a good headshape though and will look good bald. Trim that nose hair regardless lol

He’s of an age where he can do what he wants… but should trim his nose hair
