New Rule Posted - Fuck Cancer
Rule #9 has been posted as a further explanation regarding our automod, specifically around the phrase "fuck cancer". We review each of those as they come through and approve them as quickly as we can. It can be frustrating so we wanted to add some transparency to how things work to keep this place supportive. Cancer is horrible to many people, their friends, and families; and we are happy that the community at r/bald can provide some minor relief to those managing the awful disease. Fuck cancer.

Bald Picture It is done
After a 10+ year battle I finally did the thing yesterday. Looking at this community really helped my build up the courage to let it go. Thanks!

Bald Picture Before and after
I did it guys. Feeling better now, but needs time to get used to it and build up some confidence with it
What are your thoughts on shaving down to the skin versus leaving 1ā2 millimeters?
Also considering beard length

Bald Picture Long overdue
Decided to give up the ghost after the advice of a friend. Surprised my wife with it and she was blown away and keeps telling me how hot I look. I personally don't see it and I'm still very unsure if this was a good idea though...

Just got my Mohawk redone. Does it still look ok, or is it time to go full dome?

My brother wants to approach the council
He's over 6 foot and looks good from the front but the top and back are extremely problematic. What is the councils opinion?
Advice from the Council
Was thinking about going moustache, have stubble and stache atm, most Iāve seen my face in years.
Want opinions on the options:
Pic 1-3 stache and stubble
Pic 4 same but little longer than stubble
Pic 5-6 short beard
Pic 7 longer beard
Or clean shaven with stache. Full clean shave not an option.
Thanks

Bald Picture Couple months in
A bit indifferent now and again, sometimes wish I had some thick nice hair, then another aspect is the absolute ease of not having to care about taking care of it. Walking under AC vents still tend to make me laugh and chilly on a bald headš¤š½š

Is it time?
Dear council, with fear and doubt in mind I ask: is it time?

Today was the day
Glad to be part of this illustrious club
Edit: thanks for all the nice words everyone. I was fearful I was going to uncover an unsightly mark or blemish while I was shaving, but things turned out well!

Bald Picture I read an article that ostriches in Japan protect bald heads because they mistake them for eggs š

Hair is inefficient
I posted on here before because I had to cut my hair bald due to it being overgrown. However, now I'm just going bald officially because it's just more efficient.
My barber is getting his last few months in at Barber college and I have to wait until 7-9 pm just to get my haircut. My schedule is hectic, I don't have time for the little things, and I don't want to have a head full of uncut hair as an instructor.
All I need is to get my mustache back and here's to a new me.

Hairloss 29 M Struggling to let it go
So the writings on the wall, crown started thinning a few years back, front started going about a year ago after an injury.
Had tough times with self image through life, and the curls were a big part of my identity and one of the few parts of myself that I was always happy with.
Looking for advice as much as anything, styling and whatnot, should I try a buzz? Full shave?
Couple details, I cannot grow a beard due to work requirements and the need to don fire gear or other respirators at any possible moment. Moustache is allowed as long as itās not too big to break a respirator seal.
Only problem is Iāve never been in love with the stache, but itās the only facial hair Iām allowed.
Working up the courage to bite the bullet. This sub has been a great resource for helping to blunt the coming blow. Appreciate everyone here.

Bald Picture Wife Said She Likes It
I guess it works on me... 'cause the wife likes it.
Edit: I am not a I generated. All I did was use my Android to remove the background and for some reason it put that on there. If I was AI generated I would have removed the hat tan line , remove the wrinkles , smoothed out the skin , and made myself look younger .

Bald Picture The decision was made
I reached earlier for opinion (here: https://www.reddit.com/r/bald/s/KKYarTrNDQ)
Then I finally took the plunge! I know those who will jump with ājob not finishedā but that what my barber could do for the moment.
Anyway, thanks all for opinions the other day. Now time to go out and shock some friends :)
