I disagree with the crowd here. You still have a fair bit in front and not much of a widow’s peak. You are not covering anything up with a combover. So long as you keep it short like that it looks good as is.

Maybe a little bit shorter. As for it being poor advice, only you can decide, not me or any other random redditor. My thinking is that with the hair you do still have in front shaving will leave a pretty dark shadow in the front of your head. I’m really bald, nothing at all left in front or on top, and have been shaving my head for over thirty years, so I would like to think I have some perspective on this.

I think that because of where the bald spot is, you could probably get away with that haircut for a little bit longer. I think it’s most obvious when you have the heavy receding hairline on the sides and the island in the middle. That said, I’m sure you could pull off clean shaving just fine. Might even make you look younger.
