I made a free Blender EEVEE Space VFX Course with Free project files!

Hey everyone!👋

I’ve finally finished a free Blender course focused on creating space scenes and VFX in EEVEE.

It’s about 2 hours long, and we cover:

• Procedural nebula background + HDRI

• Cinematic comet

• Procedural star

• Asteroids

• Asteroid generator with Geometry Nodes

• Asteroid field

• Lava planet

• Procedural ringed gas giant

I also made all of the project files available for free, including some extra projects that aren't covered in the course.

I made the course mainly with EEVEE so that people with mid-range hardware can follow along without extremely long render times.

EEVEE I Made Hand-Drawn Fog in Blender | ink sketch comic into Blender Series

Thumbnail

Hey everyone! I’m continuing my pen-sketched comic series and recreating each frame as an animated Blender scene in the same style.

This is the fourth frame of the series about a black cat exploring the world. After leaving the safety of the bookshop, the cat reaches a quiet misty park and notices a deer somewhere in the distance.

For this one, I experimented with a slightly different approach: the foreground still uses procedural cross-hatching and Grease Pencil details, but the fog and distant elements use hand-made stippling textures so they gradually dissolve into the mist.

I also used layered 2D fog cards, simple 3D geometry, a hand-drawn 2D deer, Grease Pencil plants/details, and subtle animation to build the final scene.

EEVEE Turning an ink sketch into an animated Blender Grease Pencil scene — frame 3

Hey everyone, I’m continuing a small series where I turn my physical ink sketches into animated comic-style Blender scenes using Grease Pencil.

This is frame 3: a black cat at a bookshop window, looking outside as adventure starts calling again.

For this one, I used simple 3D geometry, procedural cross-hatching, Grease Pencil details, 2D background planes for parallax, and subtle curtain/camera animation.

Hope it’s useful for anyone experimenting with ink-sketch looks or 2D/3D hybrid workflows in Blender. Happy to answer any questions about the setup.

Magical Forest in Blender | Day 5/30
What if this forest wasn't from our world?
For Day 5 of my 30 Days of Blender Challenge, I wanted to create a magical forest scene with a fantasy atmosphere and cinematic lighting.

In this tutorial, I take you through the process of building the environment and turning a simple forest into something more mysterious and magical using composition, lighting, atmosphere, and environmental details.

✨ In this video:

* Building the fantasy forest environment
* Arranging the scene and composition
* Creating atmospheric depth
* Working with lighting and fog
* Adding details to make the forest feel magical
* Setting up the final camera
* Rendering the cinematic scene

This is Day 5 of 30 — one new Blender creation every day throughout September.

Create → Learn → Share → Repeat.

🎁 Project File: Paid Patreon members on any tier can access the Blender project file and follow along with the tutorial.

EEVEE Day 2: Creating a Cyberpunk scene in Blender

Day 2: Creating a Cyberpunk scene in Blender
https://youtu.be/_BNgLKdAPmQ
For today's challenge, I wanted to create a cinematic cyberpunk city scene from scratch by focusing on composition, atmosphere, lighting, and depth.
I started by collecting references from different cyberpunk scenes to figure out the overall mood and composition. Instead of modeling every building myself, I used KitBash3D and YAKOVLEV ART assets to quickly build the city.
Then I downloaded a character from Mixamo and started composing the scene around it.
After blocking out the main buildings, I added:
🌫️ Volumetric fog for atmosphere
💡 Cinematic lighting
🌈 Neon signs and glowing elements
🏙️ Large buildings in the background with lit windows
📐 Layered composition to create depth and scale
Finally, I rendered the scene and completed the final compositing directly in Blender.
This is Day 2 of 30 — one new Blender creation every day throughout September.
The goal is simple:
Create → Learn → Share → Repeat.
🎁 Patreon: Paid members can get access to the Blender project files and follow along with the challenge.
🎥 Subscribe to follow the full 30-day challenge!

I couldn't find any information online about controlling the thickness of an edge detect shader mask in EEVEE, so once I figured it out I thought it was worth making a video to help anyone else that is struggling with it.

Enjoy!

EEVEE Creating a Post-Apocalyptic City in Blender

Post image
42 Upvotes

The goal of this project was to transform a real-world environment—Brooklyn and the Manhattan Bridge—into a post-apocalyptic scene, inspired by the work Naughty Dog’s team did with Austin, Texas in ‘The Last of Us.’ Using Blender, I crafted this vision and now I’m excited to import it into Unreal Engine 5. What do you think? 🦌
