iOS iOS: Reddit app keeps logging me out every time I exit the app
The app logging me out every time I exit or close the app. It’s starting to get really annoying, anyone know how to fix it? Or anyone else experiencing this recently?
Also wondering if I’ve been shadow banned (not sure if separate issues), as I got a 2 day ban recently, and then a 6 day ban a week later, due to certain political party reporting my comments due to criticizing the current admin. Not sure if that is related, as I never had this issue until after the second ridiculous ban (I was not being rude or harassing anyone whatsoever).
Edited to add new issue: So it’s no longer doing the auto-logout now months later, it stopped a few weeks after I made this post. So that eventually stopped for me at least (although sounds like it’s still happening to many others)
However, my new issue is that my Reddit feed now refreshes literally even time I open the app, whether it’s been a minute or an hour, or if I leave the homepage to a different subreddit and then go back to the homepage. So I will see a post I’m interested in at the top of the feed every time I open the app or exit the main homepage, but too bad, because it decides to force a refresh every single time. This annoys me to no end, as the app had clearly already refreshed while not being used, as it will be a brand new feed, yet STILL does this auto-refresh. And I can click anything to stop it. SO annoying. The Reddit app is a piece of crap, is my final conclusion.

Glad it’s not just me. Maybe a recent update is bugged

This has been happening to me for the last 5-7 days. It seems to happen almost every 24 hours on the 5:00 pm mark since 5:00 pm was the 1st time I had to sign back in.
However, on Saturday I signed back in around 8pm and am still signed in. Maybe Reddit was able to push a fix?
It seemed to start with this new UI which I feel like I didn't have to update the app to get the new UI.

Happening to me too. And I don’t close the app just minimize it and after a couple of hours it logs me out

Same here!
I've been using the app for a month and it keeps logging me out for no reason. Sometimes I realize it because I get notifications with post suggestions that I don't follow or care about…
I was trying to find a solution but I only find other people who are just as fed up as me.

I’m having the same issue too. I thought it was my account getting hacked.

This just started happening over the last few months for me. Reinstalling the Reddit App works for a few weeks and then it will start logging you out and need to be reinstalled again. Hopefully, this is just part of a recent updated and will be patched.

No, it just stopped happening eventually in my case. But now it just constantly refreshes my home feed, so too bad if I open it and see a post I’m interested in, it’s gone before I can stop the refresh. So irritating I hate this app.

Real it keeps switching to my other account for school that I never use and then I logged out of that one and now it’s just logging me out everytime I come into the app

I’m now dealing with it refreshing the feed every single time I open the app or even leave a post. So dumb because I can see content I want to click on or read, but it refreshes so I just get a tease and will never see the post again lol. So it got better with the login bs, then it got even more annoying with this crap. Miss when Reddit had competing apps for the platform, because this is a buggy joke
