being in the southeast, I check the NHC's site pretty frequently every summer, and I like to speculate as to what systems might be cooking out in the Atlantic, so getting to work in a NOAABall is a particular treat

well, see... from the layman's perspective (lay Dawg's perspective?) it looks as though the tendrils of the storm suggests a counter-clockwise rotation pattern

Plot twist: it’s not a hack. Hurricane Dawg just formed over Athens. (And is apparently powerful enough to overcome the Coriolis force and rotate clockwise like a Southern Hemisphere storm.)

hadn't intended to bring Kirby in at first, but centering Dawg against the window looked bad, and I didn't like the imbalance of having just Dawg alone off-center

but you know, Kirby needs this as much as Dawg... the SECCG was big, but that 0-fer in Tuscaloosa is really his only remaining blemish
