So that means Beamer is better than Kiffin? Its a random fact

u/SBSnipes Notre Dame ⢠Valparaiso 4d ago
Beamer is better against top 25 teams. Beamer is much worse against random unranked teams
3
u/Responsible-War-917 Missouri Tigers 4d ago
I would unironically take Beamer on game day in a situation like Ole Miss in the playoffs last year over Kiffin.
Kiffin is good at the ceo part of program building. He's really good at taking a team from irrelevant to being relevant and good. But he's not a good in game coach.
We both know how Drink is and how Mizzou fans feel about him sometimes...but I'd take Drink on game day over Kiddin.

u/SenorSabeBalon Michigan Wolverines 3d ago
I would put them on the same level. The standard at lsu is playoffs every year unless your team dies. No excuse to lose to 20 million roster UK . When yours is 40 plus

u/imright19084 Missouri Tigers 3d ago
I get what youāre saying as far as resources but as a coach they arenāt even close. Beamer is pretty bad

Beamer is a good coach. I'd trade Heupel for him with zero hesitation. He'd have more resources at Tennessee. He'd be a good fit culturally too.

Dude, Beamer stomped a mudhole in Heupel's best team at Tennessee. He hung 63 on us.

Cheer for Cocks if you want. Wasn't Hueples best team, it was his best offense. Also Stallions is why that happened the way it did.

That is the most schizo no evidence theory ever. How did we score 63 points by stealing youāre offensive signals? You guys lost because you couldnāt get a stop on defense.

You are lying through your teeth, Bammer troll. The Tennessee team Beamer absolutely crushed was ranked #5. Heupel will be very lucky to win 2 out of the next 6 games. He is about to drop three straight. Let's see how much love Heupel and his gimmick offense get from Vols fans then. Tennessee fans are starting to realize we have the worst coach in the conference. Not one team in the SEC would trade their current coach for Heupel. The only team that might consider it is South Cack, but then they remember the epic beatdown the last time Heupel came to Columbia.

Nah. Not yet. He had a rough game though. It reminded me a lot of Heupel's clock management.

Iām not one for conspiracy theories, but Shane Beamer has been caught and fined for cheating before. Our game and Clemsons game vs South Carolina were the only games their defense wore armband play sheets like QBs wear, and they happened to play much better in hose games? Yeah thatās not coincidence.

Seriously yall are so ridiculous. Absolutely zero real evidence but you guys just keep repeating it based on an armband and something that happened a decade ago which is in no way the same circumstance. You guys got boat raced it happens.1

u/Effective_Image_86 3d ago
college football being unpredictable , must be a conspiracy. That guy stole offensive signals and thatās how our defense allowed 63 points.

u/Cool-Eggplant-6397 4d ago
We need to fire Heupel. I think he started Faizon, so he could have an excuse, but it's ridiculous to be starting a true freshman in your sixth season as head coach. After we fire Heupel, I don't want us to pursue Beamer. I was just explaining that it would be hard to find someone worse. Beamer is considered the worst coach in the SEC, but he's still significantly better than Heupel. Heupel is at least as bad as Butch Jones. Several of Butch Jones' teams would beat this year's Tennessee team. If Tennessee is serious about winning, there is a coach out there who is only 62 years old, has won three national championships at two different schools, and finished in the top 5 in the AP poll 9 times with three different schools. I make him tell me no. Tennessee has the highest paid defensive coordinator and the highest paid strength coach in college football. They aren't going anywhere. You can keep both those guys when you bring in Heupel's replacement.

u/grey_pilgrim_ Tennessee Volunteers ⢠Sickos 4d ago
Aināt no way youāre serious.
-4
u/Cool-Eggplant-6397 4d ago
Zero hesitation. Heupel is the worst coach in the SEC. Period. If you look at how much money we pay him and our resources, he underperforms every year. Right now, we are one of the three or four worst teams in the SEC on a neutral field.
6
u/grey_pilgrim_ Tennessee Volunteers ⢠Sickos 4d ago
Wow. Youāre one of those Vol Twitter crazies Iāve heard about. We really do have the absolute dumbest fans in college football.
Heās far from the worst in the SEC. Heās not the best, but heās far from the worst. You donāt take a team that barely won 3 games in 2020 and had to forfeit those games because our coach at the time couldnāt even cheat and win, and turn them into a 10 win team and wouldāve been a playoff team under the 12 team rules, without being at least a decent coach. And then he did take a team to the playoffs.
Any fan that thought weād be a competitive team this year doesnāt know ball. New inexperienced QB and a new DC means that this was never gonna be a good year. That said, we still had a chance to beat the #1 team in the country.
Heupel made the changes he needed to last year to make the defense better and Iām sure heāll do the same this year if the offenses continues to struggle.
