Did anyone else get shoved back from those guys fighting last night? Right after a subtronics show as everyone is leaving two dudes start throwing punches at each other like wtf? Scariest part is one of the dudes runs away and the other gets pulled back and shoves everyone, he tried punching someone and missed and PUNCHED MY FRIEND IN THE SHOULDER!

Side scary note: he screamed where is he and reached into his pants (might’ve been a g*n) and we ran. He was a “balloon” vendor outside radius which is also insane.

Makes me sad after a beautiful PLUR show with subby people have the will and nerve to do that and it could’ve ended so much worse.

Didn’t want to use the full word incase it got deleted or flagged. ALSO, the man angry screaming “ where is he” reached inside the middle part under his hoodie into his pants(the most common concealed weapon spot) I didn’t think he was doing that to grab his dick so people saying I’m being dramatic or telling me to stfu about the gun are dumb.

Title says it all. I am typically a techno/house person so this was my first slower melodic set. I was in awe. Pure bliss the entire time. Plus the openers were electric. This was one of my first sets where I was genuinely upset that it did not go longer. I could’ve stayed there till 5 am.

I also think in general the more shows I go to the more I realize how much more I like Cermak Hall over Radius. The sound is better, the people are more PLUR, and the vibes are more intimate. Overall 10/10 night and hope to see Jan again

My friends already have plans, and there’s no way I’m missing Dom Dolla over a breakup.

I’ve consistently heard that Aragon Ballroom is the worst venue in Chicago, so bad that it’s maybe not even worth it to go if a DJ you like is playing there.

After last night’s CDW show I think this opinion might be based on outdated info. The venue was completely fine. Sound was at least as good as it would have been at an outdoor Navy Pier show and better than at the indoor Navy Pier ballroom. I made it through security in less than 60 seconds, the bartenders were super nice, the crowd was amazing and I had as much room to dance as I would have at Radius. And I wasn’t prepared for how much character the venue has, it’s a very cool space.

It’s still not the best venue in town but it’s far from the worst; whatever problems they’ve had in the past, it seems they’ve leveled up. Or maybe Collectiv paid for additional production and staff over what's normal? If you are skipping shows specifically and only because they’re at Aragon, you’re missing out. I hope Collectiv starts booking more stuff there instead of Ramova.
