Humor / Meme New Race Idea (with Metzen approved lore): Blueman
This new race offers some new class combos such as druid and shaman for the alliance. Basically, what happened is right before the humans became afflicted with the curse of flesh from Tyr, there was a small offshoot of humans who were exiled for their use of aquatic magic. and they ended up settling with Neptulan and became worshippers of the tides. Over time, this turned their skin blue and they have been rediscovered on a mysterious island previously covered by a mysterious mist.
And now they are ready to join the Alliance.
Meet the Bluemens. They are allowed to play Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman, Druid. Their racials include Gilborn, which allows them to swim faster. And they also have the Bloomin' Spirit, which gives them increased chance to collect additional Murloc Fins. and fish oil when killing Murlocs and Naga. Let me know what you think. Druid forms include a water bear, a sea lion as their cat form, and a really fast dolphin for their aquatic form. And their travel form is a really fast piranha.
This is likely something Metzen would approve of, given the fact that they worship one of the elemental lords in the pre established lore. Also, their starting area doesn't exist on either continent. Instead of floating above, it is submerged below and contains retail assets, so that way you know that we're dealing with a really cool new race concept here. Let me know what you guys think.

Yeah, this idea is shit. I can't get behind it unless Horde gets access to them as well. Also Horde Bluemans can be Warlocks because... philosophically they like water demons.

I heard the devs were considering something boring like regular old gilnean or kul tiran humans, but Metzen told the team to go all out and make blue humans instead. This is the bold, striking, and fresh content we need

I have a better idea! How about we give them humans, but fat?
Biologically they're the same as the humans we already have, but if we give them a little bit of a large gut, and say that they're from another kingdom, like Kul'tiras, that totally counts as a new race right?

I was originally going to go with High Elves for alliance and Forsaken Elves (darkfallen) for the horde, but Chris said no, push the limits and go with something more exotic. So glad he pushed my creative limits otherwise we wouldn't have the Blueman race

If you complain about this and don't want it included in the game:
- This isn't Classic, it's Forever.
- What's your problem, why don't you want progress?
- Go outside and touch grass. This subreddit complains about literally everything.
- It probably won't even really happen so why are you complaining. But if it does, it's a good thing.

Yeah this is really fitting with the current blizzard vision. But only if horde get blue Orcs, called the BlueOrcs. That were in ragnaros asshole this entire time and decided to come out.

and later an expansion with blue orcs where they also go to alliance.

Thank you, yes. The team and I could have played it really safe and gone with some safe options like high elves, goblins, but we chose something more exotic and something that I think the fanbase will really love. I know the team really loves it.

The team is SUPER excited about the potential for performance bonuses associated with purchase of the Bluemen heroic pack. There will even be blueman themed furniture you can put in your wow retail Barbie playhouse!!

I like how all you have to do is be friends with elemental and it'll just change your skin color for no apparent reason. Wind = blue, so i guess BluePeople should be algae green and green people should be dung brown cause of trees and damn this is getting stupid. I mean sure, sky elves are closer to the sun cause of their floating island and should be tan brown or blister-red but who cares.. BLUE EVERYTHING

Kinda like how all you have to do is grow up near certain types of energy to change color (NE can be blue), transform from trolls into elves or even change the color of dwarves depending on their heritage.
Its almost like... People are a product of their environment.
Also, I made a dark purple sky borne and a pale peach toned one as well.

This is great. I’m so tired of everyone acting like we have to be stuck with the antiquated classic design that none of the millions who have played classic even liked!! Bring on more blue races!!!

Or red orcs. Not the Magtheridon blood fel orcs, but Fire elemental worshipping orcs. Available classes are Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman, Mage and Warlock. One of their racials include an Immolation Shield, increased Fire damage and fire resist. The Warriors, rogues and hunters also get some fire enhanced version of a normal class ability. Flame Rend for Warriors, Cinder Strike for Rogues and Flame-Pitch Shot for Hunters. Then as an Easter egg, have some hidden interactions with mobs in areas like BRD and MC.

If by water bear you meant a tardigrade (as opposed to a swimming grizzly) I support this idea because those are funny.
I've long thought a faction of "allied aquatics" would be fun, having murlocs, nagas, and makruras (since those are humanoids, which I always found funny). The explanation would be that ubh...well, I'm stumped.
It would be funny though...especially if your creature type depended on chosen class, that is, if you pick a warrior or mage, you'll be a makrura, if you pick rogue, hunter, or shaman, youll be a murloc, if you pick warlock or priest, a naga. (Horde race, of course, thematically and b/c they have shamans, classic's horde-rxclusive class.)
