Remember being like just over a year on feminizing HRT and thinking that I could still look like a man while passing the border (passport still showed ‘M’ so it was a safe bet). Unfortunately that plan failed and I got flagged for a sensitive search by the officer that had assumed I was female. He looked super uncomfortable when asking whether I would prefer a man or a woman to do the search (looking around for, presumably, a woman colleague) and I responded that I didn’t care so he ended up doing the pat down himself. He was super apologetic but like I get it dude, unexpected item in the shagging area or something like that
As a non binary person on HRT it's always "fun" seeing the security panic as I approach and then to see which gender box I've been put in. For the TSA in the US especially it's interesting because it always results in either a man feeling the bomb strapped to my boobs or a woman feeling the bomb strapped to my "intimate area".
This literally just happened to me earlier today that I'm so surprised seeing this comic! It was very awkward and they had kind of a "you're actually a guy?" attitude about it which was uncomfortable but afterwards I was like dang I must have passed? So I guess that's a win lol 😅
