I'm always getting flagged for my underwire bras when I fly. Which SUCKS because I'm an f/g cup depending on the day, and wearing a non-wire bra can hurt almost as much as wearing a badly fitted wire-bra for extended periods of time. I know it's not "on purpose" but it feels targeted when these machines don't take into account feminine presenting traits ðŸ˜.
Edit: It flew over my head that the OP is trans, so I kinda missed the mark, but I still stand by my statement that these machines don't take into account anyone who isn't cis-male presenting and flags the rest of us as "potential threats".
I'm a cis male and one of the biggest reasons I got signed up for precheck is because I was tired of getting my dick backhanded every time I went through that scanner. Every damn time. Also, fun fact: they don't appreciate it when you recite their lines to them before they say them. They still have to say them and you're just slowing things down.
