As someone who has extensive experience working in hotels (all kinds of positions, all the way to management), but who's left that life behind due to the amount of overly greedy scummery coming from the top I witnessed in many of them in the back offices...
Welll... The mindset does track and fit to a T, that much I can say confidently.
