You may want to take a break from dating apps and try meeting people in hobby or third spaces instead.

Seriously, people put way too much into that. 5-10 messages back and forth, find a way to ask smoothly, then just one or two messages to check in as the date gets close. Trying to get to know someone online first is such a terrible idea in so many ways.
