Control Resonant Ending Spoiler Spoiler
Pope: "I don't want to see the stars again without you."
This line ended me 💔
I am dead now. I have died. I will never recover.

Antonia Bernath deserves a nomination at the GotY awards for that scene alone.

Honestly her delivery all through Resonant was so good: exhausted, hyper focused, stumbling over herself to try and get her thoughts back on the present conversation, and sounding like she’s been on the verge of a manic breakdown for some time now.
And then you have those moments of lucidity when all of these ideas meld together and Pope has that spark of enthusiasm she had in Control because her theories are coming together to do something. Like her research project in Unknown.

Very well-put!! I thought the same about the research quest in the Unknown too; I could hear enthusiastic scientist in her voice 😭

There better be a DLC soon I cannot wait another 7 years for more of this shit. Also Antonia did a superb job with this game. She needs her flowers...

DLC wont resolve this.
And you'll have to play Alan Wake 3 to get a whiff.

Why doesn't Dylan stab her with the Aberrant that's been proven effective for waking up coma patients.

I think they mentioned this. That Jesse's coma type is different from Dylan's, since she is basically somewhat conscious and it would be risky to try and attempt it

Yeah I think it’s a dialog option once Emily moves back to the lobby after a bit (I had to go do a couple side missions before she was back there).

We still don't know how Jesse put the Board out of the house into the Aberant

After the ending there are three new documents pinned to Emily's board, one of them is a picture of the Nail. I bet it's foreshadowing for the DLC.

We also still don't know why the board agreed to this setup, I assume it was their idea. They probably offered to resuscitate Dylan in exchange for getting the hell out of the astral plane before it got patterned

The other thing is The Board Actually didnt to kill the Hedron in the end

u/DonutHoles4Ever 21h ago
Its simple:
Jesse: "Im going to do this incredibly dangerous thing where we end the lockdown and I go into a different dimention to stop the Hedron"
Board: "Stupid/as/fuck"
Jesse: "You guys should enter this cool item here and I'll hand you to my brother"
Board: "Better/ok/STAB HIM"
Jeese: "well you dont have to ask me twice LOL"

There's a lot of things Jesse can do where Dylan can't. She can bind OoP and can switch place with him when he died. Dylan also tried switching place with her but he failed. Dylan's ability is probably different from Jesse's.

Bro it's going to be so long until we get another control game. What they need to do is throw all lore aside and let us play resonant as Jesse and the original control as Dylan. I don't care if it doesn't make sense. I would love that

I had actually hoped ng+ was going to be where we got to play as Jesse. Boy was I in for a shock

We need Alan Wake 3 to reunite Alan with Barry, and Control 3 to reunite Jesse and Emily!

Maybe this part of the spiral moment from Alan Wake 2. Dylan started the game in a coma and now Jesse is in one. Can he bring her back the same way she brought her back?

There’s dialogue with Pope that mentioned stabbing her with Abberrant would not wake her up. So unfortunately no, but really glad that they put that in.

They shoot her in the head with the service weapon but she actually dies and they have to deal with the trauma of killing her and it's very melancholic and there's no combat

For some reason during this heartfelt scene I literally walked Dylan out and then put him immediately behind a curtain like he was eavesdropping. It felt too personal for him to just stand there while Pope poured her heart out.

Maybe it's NOT a thing but... why is the floor near the bed mopped and you can see the streaks still?

i wondered that too... like more than I was paying attention to the fact that Jesse was now in Dylan's ComaBed, I couldn't' stop thinking about that mopped spot on the floor still being wet. maybe for DLC, it'll be like the Dark Place wet floors from AW2, and Ahti will show up to check on his assistant

Why does the FBC insist on putting their coma patients in these incredibly impractical set ups?
