Honestly I was also thinking that. Neil and Jesse/Dylan were pretty tight and Neil-dog did save him/them as well. I wonder if Cindy was also one of his crushes. There weren’t many people in school or ordinary for that matter and when someone is nice to you at that age, it’s pretty easy to develop crushes.

Also completely unhinged but I will forever be obsessed with Jack/Beth so I really wanted Tim/Jesse if not together at least to meet and have interactions. Friend was saying if Jesse and Dylan were the same person, that could still happen with Tim/Dylan lmao.

Ok, but... who? What Remedy has done is they have women playing key roles. So we'd actually need to have some more major characters to begin with :)

There's Dylan, of course, but I did like that they leaned gently into his social inexperience and didn't introduce anything yet. I guess you could read not crushing on his extremely cool friend Zoe as maybe swinging the other way.

Gaming is the only major category of media or art more broadly where sapphic relationships are anywhere close to on par with anything else, and even this story it isn't explicitly a focus. So I do understand the frustration, but, like.

In Alan Wake 2's Final Draft, there's a video that I interpret as Darling flirting with Tom Zane. So he might be bisexual. This is still buried 30 hours into the game, much more hidden than the wlw characters.

First game I thought left it ambiguous enough that you could read them either way. But this game all but confirms Emily at least has feelings for Jesse (with a hint that they’re reciprocated), but Emily never worked up the courage to admit it before Jesse disappeared. Dylan I feel like is one of those people who is socially awkward (although that’s not completely his fault), but is a lot more perceptive than others give him credit for.

Personal headcanon until otherwise disproven: Jesse is bisexual. Dylan had a feeling that something like that was the case when they were kids. Like, he noticed that she would sometimes look at other girls the same way he did to any girl he had a crush on. He didn’t think much of it at the time, but when he was old enough to understand those types of labels (however much he could in the FBC), it all clicked for him.

Damnn I was so clueless. I liked Emily cause she was nice and friendly and I was hoping she wasn’t secretly a bad person that would betray Jesse at the end which thankfully she wasn’t. Never picked up on the whole Jesse x Emily vibe though.

I mean since I heavily identified with Dylan I hope it means he's gay (since you know he and Jesse ...) it’s just wishful thinking would be neat to really have that character I can fully relate to.
