Placed an order through DashMart because I needed a few things I neglected to pick up on my weekly grocery run, and I'm currently ill. One item wasn't included. Not a big deal, so I went to try and get a refund through the non-agent side of things. What was offered (in credit AND refund) was only about 70% of what I paid for it, which seemed fucked, so I tried the agent route instead, hoping to at least get some clarity on WHY it wasn't a full refund, since the thing just didn't arrive AND it wasn't even though a third party or anything.
This resolution was, overall, better (lesson here: always follow up), but the conversation just seemed so scripted and... Not real? Not acknowledging that I'd already named the item, not really answering my question... It wasn't a big enough issue to really keep after it, but now I'm curious. I don't use Door Dash often - basically just once a month because I get a non-restaurant discount through a credit card and it's nice to be able to slack off on a few items when grocery shopping (I live in NYC, so I have to walk all my groceries back and the saved weight/space is worth it, even just on 30 bucks of cleaning supplies, bread, and paper towels) so maybe this is standard, but I am passively intrigued.
