Sorry, I'm just a guy here who ascribes to much of the same beliefs that much of the violence and rape is inflicted by men in a society that gives them power and the freedom to do so, often with little consequences. When my father was verbally and even physically abusing me, only a woman stood up and defended for me. I'm not a small guy either but that's what a childhood of verbal and emotional abuse from a violent and manipulative father does to you... I absolutely fear confrontation and I'd wish I were able to shrink away to nothingness.

Pain, suffering and ridicule inflicted upon me by men. I've almost exclusively only come out queer(finsexual) to women I know because majority of the men I know are bigoted or complacent with bigotry against people such as myself. I've found a lot of supportive people and compassion by hanging out in subs like TwoXchromosome and womenofwarhammer(chud-free hobby discussions). I'm not trying to invade a space nor do I associate with the pricks that come to women and minority focused groups to harass and invade their space to remove safety. I enjoy the humour of mocking toxic masculinity and the patriarchal society we're stuck in, I haven't experienced any misandry yet here either.

And that’s so hard to hear for some men, it’s a hard pill to swallow. From what I’ve learned so far when we hear women using phrases like
“all men” we tend to take it personally, but realistically, it’s women just speaking from literal statistics, and experience. I think if we take a step back and look at it from that perspective us guys might understand more? But Idk, it seems like we have a hard time with being truly being empathetic sometimes. Like shits scary when you’re actually afraid of being raped and murdered, and statistically there are numbers that say it’s likely to happen. That I think is tough for men to have to accept, and I think that’s maybe why we give so much denial or disagreement? Yes not all of us are the type to do that. But I think what we don’t understand is statistically the numbers say the opposite. And that’s what women are speaking to.

The only time I know men's compulsory military service helped was during the floods in 2012/2013. They were simply able to lean into that training and mobilize better because the state response was next to 0.

But it's also because women are systematically excluded from being taught important skills. It doesn't even have to be military service. All citizens could go through basic training for emergencies such as this, regardless of gender. Only men being pushed to learn this is bonkers and unhelpful.

Other than that, wild animals in nature avoid conflict and contact with humans. Wars are worse for civilians than trained soldiers (and they can be stopped if all men refused to participate in carnage that only makes a handful of rich men even richer).

I’ve had women touch me inappropriately and I froze and wasn’t able to do anything because I was a minor. I need protection from people who cross boundaries. Sometimes this protection is a physical barrier, a law, or a human.

Historically, men have been on both the opposite side of protectors and conquerors. Sometimes both for different people.

I firmly believe that if a world existed where only women were in it, there would still be women who would abuse their power. Especially if those women had hormones, genes, etc that compelled them to be aggressive in a similar fashion that dark side of testosterone does for men. Testosterone is a ridiculously interesting hormone. It has the good, the bad, the ugly!

Just look at the comments and see how angry women are calling names and belittling. You think this anger would not be directed towards fellow women if there were no men around?

Always with these ridiculous theories. If one gender would suddenly disappear, things would be awful for a likely long while and then humans would do what they always do, and adapt. Women would reorganise, there would be some death and destruction but eventually, things would even out and form a new order. That's what has happened for centuries. Now, if women disappeared it would be a fairly short run with no next generation, but oh well. With men gone, the rest of the sperm banks world wide could be used up to keep going a bit longer, and maybe civilization would survive, with new male babies born.

These male fantasies, that women would just roll over and die with them gone are ridiculous. Humans are adaptive and roles would need to be redistributed. At the same time, relevance of jobs would greatly change at the same time, so women would have to fill out essential roles that used to be predominantly male before. Humans are resilient.
