So for everyone who saw my post in the megathread, this is what I saw men do when a woman express their discontent with being harassed by creeps online.

Instead of being sympathetic, so many men took offense to her singling out men and said she couldn't possibly know everyone who creeps on her are men.

It's infuriating because you shouldn't be hurt you're not the one doing the creeping. Why is this so hard to realize?

Some conversations aren’t worth having. Especially the ones that treat women’s bodies like open topics for anyone with an opinion. Abortion, periods, birth control, breastfeeding these are lived experiences, not debate topics for people who will never go through them.

Every time Geoffrey or Chris or Marc passionately opine about something and she stone cold responds “I disagree” with zero conditions or softeners I love her more.

It’s so incredibly frustrating. Why are so many women so obsessed with upholding such a misogynistic, patriarchal system. How are we going to free ourselves when so many women openly support and fuel the problem?

Today, my mum tried making me go out with her even though I was having period pain, nausea and a headache.

I even told her that my period was heavier than usual and that I had leaked multiple times yesterday. Apparently to her I just have to ‘be strong’ and that I should have just told her that I was in pain. Being strong also can mean taking breaks for yourself.

She is also the person who has told me multiple times before that apparently periods are “dirty”. And she wonders why I don’t talk to her much?

Apparently, according to her I have to go out later today with no “ifs and buts”

She has basically upheld so many misogynistic ideas. I don’t understand. Apparently I have to “save” my dad and when I confront her to saying that she just denies it.

So sorry if this isn't the right sub to post this on, but I gotta know if this is a known phenomenon or if I'm just unlucky AF.

I'm a 20 year old femme presenting lesbian. I've recently gotten a janitor job at a nursing home and they require me to dress the same as the nurses. Nothing crazy, just scrubs. But I've noticed that ever since I took that job I've had men creeping on me and hitting on me WAY more whenever I'm going to work or getting off and I'm still in my uniform. Even if I look like absolute dogshit. This wasn't ever an issue at my old fast food job.

Is this a regular occurrence for y'all or am I just unlucky?? It makes me so uncomfortable especially because I'm not into guys period, and it makes me sick to imagine how bad actual professional women must have it if it's this bad in my very small town, and I've only been working there for two months! I've always respected women nurses and doctors but now I respect y'all twice as much if y'all gotta spend 12 hours a day dealing with bullshit just to clock out and deal with more bullshit from men. Any tips would be great btw. My friend suggested leaving work in a Halloween mask to weird them out as a joke but I'm seriously considering it.

Studys say the average male has more sexual partners than the average woman BTW yet still its women who get shamed. But men sleeping with men also get shamed so ig sleeping with m*n is the problem

When I see men with the courage to face reality and surrender to a woman's will, trying to be the best version of himself and stay true with no expectations on her... I just want to hold them and truly love them for however long I can. Even if I don't choose them, their devotion and surrender inspires the same within me.

The reverse is not true.

Men have to surrender themselves first, men have to trust first. If women try to make a man feel safe and loved first, the whole thing collapses in on itself, and it doesn't even lead to the man feeling truly safe or loved.

Ditto if men try to manipulate a woman into feeling safe and loved first, when it's not true.

Men cannot use force or manipulation, they must simply open doors for women (figuratively and literally) and if she walks through that door and leaves him behind, he just has to continue until one chooses him - without resentment at his work.

If a woman opens a door for him, his work changes to accept and allow the shift while appreciating and never forgetting the gift. But remember that no women have a duty to do this in the reverse scenario.

Can you imagine if the men who get triggered by posts here had to experience the constant casual and institutional misogyny even the most privileged women face on a daily basis? They wouldn’t last a day without a complete nervous breakdown! (And who could blame them???) But they’ll still have zero empathy for us, ugh.

A lot of women seem to want a bf/husband to plan their life with. Why so closed-minded? You can live with a woman or multiple women and still fuck males, if that is what you want. I think we should draw a clear line between sexuality and home/household. Why do you think you have to fuck someone you live with? Why do you think you have to live with someone, only because you are sexually attracted to them/their gender?

Normalize not living with your oppressors. DV and femicide rates are way too high to do such a thing!

Meanwhile men commit 90% of all violent crime, 99% of all rape and child rape and 95% of family annihilations. What genuinely makes us the horrible ones? Genuinely? There has literally never been a recorded gang rape done by women ever in the history of the world but for men its another tuesday. What the fuck makes us so bad?
