Get the advice you need to finally make a decision about your lineup
We all check our lineups a dozen times the night before the game, so this thread is perfect for those type of people looking to do some last minute tinkering. Sure, everyone says to start your studs but we all know you’re thinking about finally moving that bench guy into the lineup because he’s been getting more usage and this week might be the week he finally blows up. Please list scoring details and other players on your bench when you're looking for feedback on setting your roster.
Just remember, people give advice of their own goodwill here and if it doesn’t work out for you, don’t come back to gloat/criticize others' advice with the benefit of hindsight. We always have and will continue to enforce lengthy bans for this sort of gloating or harassment, so don’t do it!

Looking at matchups based only on fantasy points allowed obviously misses some nuance. Defenses have different coverage tendencies. Offensive players perform better vs. some schemes over others. etc.
So I went looking for the underlying matchups that could have an impact on this week's games.
These stats aren't perfect either on a 5-game sample, but it can help give you a lean on guys you might be 50/50 on. And for the guys you're starting no matter what, I find it helpful for expectation setting and deciding if you want to take more/less risk elsewhere in your lineup.
10 players in good spots:
QB - Brock Purdy vs WAS: 11.1 yards per attempt vs the blitz, 7.3 without. WAS blitzes on 45.8% of dropbacks, 2nd-most.
RB - Cam Skattebo vs NO: 0.1 yards before contact per carry (3rd-fewest), so his yards come after contact. NO allows 3.8 yards after contact per carry, 3rd-most.
RB - Kyren Williams vs ARI: league-best rushing success rate, 2nd in missed tackles forced per carry. ARI is bottom 3 in missed tackle rate and allows the 4th-most yards after contact per attempt.
RB - Tony Pollard at IND: 93% of his carries between the tackles. IND allows 5.3 yards per carry inside, most in the NFL.
WR - Jalen Coker at PHI: about 45% of his routes from the slot. PHI allows 108 slot yards per game, 3rd-most.
WR - Tre Tucker vs BUF: 77% of his routes outside, 2.63 yards per route vs Cover 3 (team-high). BUF runs Cover 3 at the NFL’s highest rate (28.1%) and allows the 5th-most fantasy points to outside WRs.
WR - Wan’Dale Robinson at IND: 78% of his routes from the slot. IND allows 2.01 yards per route to the slot, 2nd-most.
WR - Parker Washington vs HOU: 50% of his snaps in the slot. HOU allows the 2nd-most fantasy points to slot WRs.
TE - Mark Andrews at CLE: target on 40% of his routes vs man (25% overall). CLE plays man 47% of the time, most in the NFL.
TE - Pat Freiermuth at TB: 1.62 yards per route vs zone, 0.56 vs man. TB plays zone 83% of the time. (Worth noting he was a late addition to injury report earlier today)
10 players in tough spots:
QB - Tyler Shough at NYG: 5.3 yards per attempt vs the blitz (6.8 without), 30th in success rate vs the blitz. The Giants blitz on 40% of dropbacks, 4th-most.
QB - Aaron Rodgers at TB: 5.6 yards per attempt vs the blitz, 7.1 without. TB blitzes on 41.6% of dropbacks, 3rd-most.
RB - Woody Marks at JAX: 12th in explosive run rate and 7th in missed tackle rate among 42 backs. JAX allows the 2nd-lowest explosive run rate and the lowest missed tackle rate.
RB - Bhayshul Tuten vs HOU: 9th in explosive run rate among 42 backs. HOU allows the 4th-lowest explosive run rate and the 4th-fewest yards before contact per attempt.
WR - Carnell Tate at IND: about 74% of his routes outside. IND allows the 4th-fewest yards to receivers lined up outside.
WR - Luther Burden at ATL: 88 slot snaps, most on the Bears. ATL allows 0.12 fantasy points per route to the slot, fewest in the NFL.
WR - Romeo Doubs vs NYJ: 0.06 yards per route vs man, 2.15 vs zone. The Jets play man at the 11th-highest rate.
WR - Tetairoa McMillan at PHI: about 75% of his routes outside. PHI allows 1.19 yards per route to outside receivers, 6th-fewest.
TE - Colston Loveland at ATL: 0.67 yards per route and a 14% target rate vs single-high. ATL plays single-high at the 4th-highest rate.
TE - Jake Ferguson at GB: 52% of his routes from the slot. GB allows 0.69 yards per route to the slot, 2nd-fewest.
