Hello Fragranceswap, I cannot believe I've already hit 1000 flaired sales. It feels like yesterday that I stumbled across the sub looking to buy my first fragrance after getting scammed on Facebook Marketplace. I appreciate all the support over the years; it's been incredible. A big thank you to everyone who put their trust in me and placed orders for bottles or decants, and to all the mods that keep the sub safe.

I want to do a small giveaway to thank the community for genuinely changing my life.

To enter, leave a comment with your first-ever fragrance and your most recent fragrance purchase.
The only requirement will be to have at least one single flaired buy or sale.

The winner will be chosen in ~1 week.

Hello everyone! Here are all of the details of the giveaway. I’ll put the sappy stuff* at the bottom.

*** CONUS ONLY ***

• I am giving away this 100mL French Avenue Safari Breeze, test sprayed, full presentation.
• To enter, all you need to do is comment something. 1 emoji, “chat,” a joke, a funny story, your favorite fragrance… whatever you feel inclined to comment. No upvote required, but it wouldn’t hurt! :)
• Giveaway will be open until Monday, October 19th at 9:00 PM EST!
• At 9:00 PM EST on Monday, I will use RedditRaffler to draw a name from the comments. I will update this post with the winner as well as DM you. You’ll have 8 hours to respond with your shipping info before another winner is picked. Hopefully shipping out Tuesday if winner responds in time, lol.
• I will cover shipping cost + insurance. You will owe nothing.

Good luck! :)

*I’ve been collecting fragrances for about 15 years now. My first ever fragrance was CJ Black from Rue21, and I thought I was hot stuff wearing cologne for the first time. I used to enter every fragrance giveaway known to mankind and never won a single thing. Then, a few weeks ago, I finally won my first one! I was genuinely so shocked. After entering giveaways for years and never having any luck, it was such a cool feeling to actually win something. I was watching the House of Cosmo Dark Matter & Lux Prima drop event when Jamie and Noah (Mr. & Mrs. Sniff) gave away a full presentation bottle of Crimson Aura, and somehow, I won! What made it even better was that I had already bought the House of Cosmo discovery set, and Crimson Aura was easily my favorite of the bunch. Winning that bottle made me want to spread the love a little, so I figured I’d host my first ever giveaway here on [r/fragranceswap](r/fragranceswap)! This was a blind buy that turned out to smell almost identical to Hawas Sapphire, which I already own, so I figured someone else might as well enjoy it!

Alongside our new PerfumeBot, we built a tool that lets you check someone's flair and current ban status without digging through old posts or asking them to comment.

https://perfumebot.fragranceswap.net

We implore you all to use this liberally. Several things to note:

• Scammers commonly send images with fake flair, and this allows you to easily verify their claims.
• If someone won't comment on your post and you suspect they may be banned, you can now quickly obtain a concrete answer.
• We denote when someone is banned for scamming / is on the Universal Scammer List. This lets you distinguish scammers from those banned for something less egregious (e.g., reposting). For your safety, do not take the lack of a scammer label as an indication that someone is safe to transact with.
• When using this tool, copy+paste usernames or profile URLs. Scammers often use similar characters to try to trick their victims (e.g., a capital i instead of a lowercase l (I vs. I)). Additionally, do not accept someone's link to their own lookup; to protect yourself, do your due diligence and run your own lookups.

Thank you, and stay safe.
