best Jason design imo- when I hear the name Jason Voorhees, that's the thing I picture in my mind.

Eh not a big fan of Jasons characterization in the movie nor of any of the characters, but I will admit that the fights where pretty cool and entertaining even if I call BS on Freddy beating Jason in the human world.

Not a big fan of it either but I kind of justify it with he's all fucked up from every damage he took in the previous movies.

I wish they got Kane Hodder

Worst appearance by Jason for sure IMO.

Dumb fun movie. Definitely not the worst entry for either character

This was actually the first slasher I ever watched. Watched it on the syfy channel when my mom was asleep hoping she wouldn’t wake up and find out 😅‼️

I have always liked it, I was honestly terrified of Freddy before I saw this movie having only seen the origin NOES and New Nightmare! Also My favorite Jason design as well! That ending fight is pretty cool!

Was it a great movie? Not really. But I've always loved it lol. It was the first R rated movie I got to see in theaters, I was probably 13-14? Also i loved the soundtrack, very pivotal for a young metalhead me lol

I agree, he was basically a cartoon by part 6

It’s good for what it is: a Nightmare movie with Jason as a protagonist. Jason was softened a bit as a result. Also, the fact that they boned Kane Hodder always lingers on this one.

The ideal ending (that would have redeemed their characterization of Jason) would’ve been for Jason to come back out of the lake and kill Lori and Will at the last minute….

Kane is overrated, I wasn’t bothered having a new actor play Jason

I disagree that he was overrated. In any case, they still boned him

Opening night my buddy and I kept getting frozen out of sold-out shows and calling Moviefone to try to find the next one. Finally found one starting at 2:40am - no shit! And it was packed sold out with a louder rowdier audience than I'd seen at any other movie in my whole life except Endgame. Unforgettable.

It's unironically the best film in either franchise.

I was at the first showing the morning it came out. Our AMC theater separated the crowd into Jason section & Freddy section, I was 13 dressed in full on Jason gear with my mom (she was into horror movies too) & everyone was treating me like the mascot for Jason's team lol. It was awesome, especially at the end. Definitely a great, great memory.

I don't really care about the main characters tho. I'm just here for Jason and Freddy's screen time

FVJ was definitely Jason at his strongest he tanked all of freddys attacks and kept going even without his fingers and eyes
