Saw someone do it for FvsJ so I thought it was a good idea too lol

Imo it has the second best Jason design and one of the best scenes with that fight in the rooftop

I was trying to go for a mix of his part 4 and part 6 design. His mask is in the shape of the 2009 version though, lol.

With the release of the new Friday the 13th series "Crystal Lake" on Peacock, I can proudly say that I LOVE this new Jason Universe era that we are in!! I haven't been able to see "Crystal Lake" because I don't have Peacock. But according to ww.themoviedb.org it can be watched on HBO Max!!

Yes, I know CRYSTAL LAKE is it's own entity and not connected to the already established films. But, with that being said, the dialog from Pamela lands differently for me now.

Which film is worse, Friday the 13th Jason goes to Manhattan or Jason goes to hell.

I prefer Friday the 13th Jason goes to Manhattan even though that movie is severely flawed and not a good movie. It’s still very entertaining and still have some really good moments in it.

First, background…I’m 52 and remember watching the first 4 Friday the 13th movies in middle school back in the late 80’s. I’ve never watched anything after 4 and haven’t watched 1-4 since then. A since of nostalgia inspired me to watch the first movie last week for the first time in 40 years. Then I just kept watching.

Here’s my list of worst to best without any outside bias or influenced reviews:

12) Jason takes Manhattan
11) Part 3
10) Jason Goes To Hell
9) Jason X
8) Freddy vs Jason
7) Friday the 13th (2009)
6) New Blood
5) New Beginning
4) Part 2
3) Friday the 13th (1980)
2) Final Chapter
1) Jason Lives

I’ve just started the show and I really like what I see. The actors are amazing and I am loving Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees. Callum Vinson is great as Jason too and I love the adorable mother son dynamic they had. My problem is it doesn’t feel like the same character.

I know this is a new continuity and they’re trying something different but it feels so weird to see Jason talking. I’m more used to seeing Jason as neurodivergent and borderline mentally challenged as well as deformed but here, he just seems like a normal kid with a prosthetic on him, kid looks like MegaMind. I got the series spoiled for me so I know what happens and that’s probably the idea. It’ll just take getting used to for me. I found out he chokes Pam later on which is like Batman killing someone. Same with the Playboy magazine, OG Pam would kill him. I did like his appearance at the end of the series, feels more like the character from the movies.

Again, I’m not trying to be mean. The show looks amazing so far but it doesn’t really feel the same for me. I miss the supernatural elements that made the series what it is and this feels like too much of a shift into realism. I preferred what Sweet Revenge did in that the lake itself was cursed and brought him back. It’s kinda disappointing they’re going for a more sci fi approach.. What does everyone else think?

I see eyes, eyebrows, and even a mouth formed in the window panes and props. What do you think?

In my opinion out of all the movies Part 6 got Jason right the most

HES violent, strong, brutal and supernatural (no I do NOT like Jason being smart he is brute compared to people like Freddy and Micheal) plus his kills are my fav in this film especially the head into the RV wall or the punch through the heart

But this is my opinion what’s yours?

Jason being an experiment makes perfect sense... especially for the time. Think The Hills Have Eyes, The Mist, Fallout.

The show did a lot of things right. Using the same town, the whole vibe was spot on even Pamela's look. My only issue is the sackhead could've been a little better.

Carrie got so much praise and that shit was awful. This show was 10x better... even the kills were great. The last two episodes were a great climax. 9/10 for me.

here is the YouTuber, Dr Wolfula review on Friday the 13th part 7 the new blood this is a real funny video that I think you guys will love.

Love this movie
