Discussion My first Funko Pop! How rare are Chases compared to Hot Wheels?
I’m new to collecting Funko Pops, but recently I saw this transparent Batman and picked up coz looks cool
I’m mainly into Hot Wheels, but now I think it’s time into Funko.
I saw a lot of Chases and exclusives at a local game store, so are Chases common in Funko?
Can someone explain this to me in Hot Wheels terms?

The chance is one in six... fairly common tbh.

Ok so they don’t have rare or sort of things

There's super limited Funkos now...like only 300 pieces, 1500 and so on.

there's always been super limited funkos; OP should look into Vaulted Funkos, ComicCon Exclusives, FreddyFunko Exclusives, Prototypes, etc.
Autographs are also a big thing in FunkoWorld.
Have fun with your new addiction!! 😛

The ones from back in the day like 2015 and earlier were 1/36. They have mystery box ones now that have 1/72 chases, but right now it’s just a handful of offerings that have that. The vast majority of current chases are 1/6 and not hidden behind mystery boxes.

It’s all depends. I look at “rare” as in how much people are willing to pay for it in resell market. A standard one can be rare and a chase of certain character can be cheap. There are Limited Editions that are also not considered as rare while some will sell for crazy dollars. You’ll just have to take your Funko info and search on resell sites to see. Your Batman is around $30-40 so it’s standard-ish chase and would seem to go lower in price after a while.

They’re 1 in 6 but crazed Funko Pop addicts tend to scoop them up as soon as they come out so finding one is still quite exciting when you’re casual (like me).
My advice, celebrate the wins when it comes to a Chase but don’t focus on resell value, cuz that’s lame asf. Collect what you want because you want it not because you expect to make a profit.

I have first hand experience with this chase. I love it it’s cool but i found two at marshals for like $7 almost two years ago. One didn’t have a sticker. Yours does. Idk what the value would be. But give my experience it might have a lower value than your typical chase but it’s been a while so who knows. Best way to know or to see how much it’s been selling for on eBay.

Chases used to be 1-36 making them MORE rare now they are 1-6. Not every line has a chase, so some are still worth some $, where as there's alot of Chases that are worth like $20. Just collect what you like, or they will overwhelm you 🤣🤣

Chases are more rare than the common version. That's really cool! Congratulations!

I found an Arc Trooper Jesse Chase (which I was desperate for) in a normal retail shop. Fastest purchase I’ve ever made.

This is about $150 or so, definitely the better find.
Your Batman is still a very cool piece, around $20-25

There are different rareness associated with chases; 1/6 or perhaps 1/2500, or higher. So the rareness figure does matter in the value of these Funkos. I think your pop is a good find, although I don’t know it’s rareness factor. It looks more like a prototype than a chase actually. Be interesting to see how it’s value is or will be.

Depends on the store really. You can find duplicates of them sometimes at places like winners/Marshalls.
But they should be 1 in 6. Each pack of 6 shipped out to retailers should have 1 chase in it, if that pop has one of course.
