I thought you guys might appreciate my first guitar! I got it for 100 dollars brand new from a guitar shop in Pittsburgh when I was 10 years old. I don’t know what it was actually priced at but it was my dream guitar and I saved up all my money! The awesome dude working at the shop just asked how much money I had and I said 100 dollars (expecting him to laugh at me and say I couldnt afford it) and he (knowing i was a huge blink fan) said ok deal 😀 I played it for so many hours as a kid then it became my bands kind of beater/backup guitar for years. For the last 10 or so years it just sits in my music room watching me play bass 😅. All my buddies who’ve played it over the years agree with me this guitar has some magic in it.

Recently got a Fender AVII Jazzmaster in Sherwood Green. Absolutely stunning. Joins the family of AVII Strat and AO Tele. All bases covered (for now!)

Something about this one just makes it hard to put down... Kit from Leo Jaymz, veneer from my supplier's 'deep quilt' category of maple, finished in Keda colors and Tru-Oil. The Guitar Madness 'StratoBucker' is a lot of fun, wired to switch between a classic Strat sound and pure screaming.

New Arrival: Distressed Valiant Mercury in 3-Tone Sunburst! Just touched down at Boutique Guitars, and it even comes complete in a Mono gig bag. Absolute stunner blending classic S-style offset vibes with top-tier modern craftsmanship and heavy character. What do you think of this scenic coastal backdrop?

Me and Stratocasters never have gotten along. The knob placement and the single coil sound have not been my thing. I was GASing for a p90 guitar so instead of buying one I built one. Single pickup single volume thats all I need.

i got an ibanez gio as my first guitar at 21 without doing much research. and this gio made me ended up learning soldering (a humm noise issue) floyd rose setup and proper guitar wiring really well. buying my first guitar just for its looks without researching turned me into a luthier (this is a joke luthiers have more superior knowledge than me) and honestly i'm glad i didn't get a hardtail and a polished safe finish guitar.
i'm super excited to mod my gio with new pickups and swirl refinishing in the future lol

Vintera III Late 50s Stratocaster in Aztec Gold
I liked the stock pickups ok, but decided to upgrade it with Custom Shop Fat 50s. Love the neck and it sounds GREAT!

When I was growing up in the hair metal era, my dream was a custom finished Jackson or Charvel guitar. Years later this popped up and I had to make it happen. Sounds amazing through a Mesa Mk V. Pickups are a Duncan Custom with an Alnico 8 magnet and a Cool Rails.

I was sure about selling this guitar, but one night I suddenly put this old Bigsby I had lying around and I thought it sucked functionally (it was a b700), but the look really grew on me cause it looked like Keith Richards’ LP. So I got a proper B7 like the one I have on my epi 355 cause it felt amazing and I don’t mind having a little wobble action. I took the cream guard off but I suddenly remembered Jeff Beck’s Les Paul with the black pickguard and thought that was cool. Got the guard today and I’m stunned. It’s a bit of a weird look, but I’m attracted to how slightly odd it looks. Long story short, I’m no longer selling the Jeefburst😋

Refretted with jumbo stainless and modded with new pickups and wiring. I was so desperate for one of these that I ordered this one from Japan. Price was decent, but of course a used one popped up locally a week after for less… Oh well… this one is great though.

First time upgrading my guitar, started on a cheap silvertone Stratocaster copy. Haven’t been able to stay away from this one!

Got wicked lucky! Found this ol girl on FB marketplace today and somehow was the first one to message him. Has a small headstock repair (rock solid job on it) and is beat up, but it plays like butter! New workhorse for me 😎

I bought a Reverend Spacehawk (The Reeves Gabrels) model with two pickups a few years back. Loved the look, the weight, the feel. It played like a dream. But something about it just didn't click for me.
I nailed it down to the pickups. The "Railhammer" pickups it came with. I didn't like the look of them, and they sounded really ... sterile. People have talked up this 'bass contour' feature on the electronics too, but it never sounded good to my ears.
So I went on a search for something new, and found vineham.com Canadian dude who custom wires his stuff. On his suggestion, I got one of his Whiskey Burners in the bridge, and a V59 in the neck. From what I understand, they are PAF based? But I'm no pickup scientist.
When I installed the pickups, I completely redid the electronics as well. One volume, a tone for the neck 22nf, a tone for the bridge 22nf, and each a push/push. When down, the pickup is in parallel. When up, the pickup is in series. The guitar originally had a kill switch (blech). I rewired it to be a "blowout" switch. Flick it on and the bridge pickup in series is dumped straight to the output, bypassing everything. Instant biting solo tone!
The wiring diagram is a bit messy, but it went in OK. Learned the lesson to route all the wires you can before fitting the pickups in. Guitars like this have a lot of wires running to the switches through the pickup cavities.
Now this guitar is my GO TO when I wanna sit and jam for a bit. The pickups sound incredible! Craig at vineham.com did such a wonderful job. (Not a sponsor, just really impressed).
So what do y'all think of the railhammer pickups or the bass contour on the Reverends?
Any other vineham fanboys here?
Thanks for listening!

Picked up my first guitar with an Evertune yesterday, it’s fantastic, everything sounds better, my collection is in danger of having holes routed in them to install more

Going to bring the headstock back to original look, drop a gotoh in and have a kinda rare and cool piece of history for $200. I love marketplace finds. Rock on🤘🎸
