Its against, mainly the fact that there was no prior discussion, there are no regulations or safeguards in place in NS or in Canada for data centre creation, and generative AI data centres are known to cause harm to the environment, the people, the wildlife that surround them. I would also assume the fact that OpenAI is owned by a pedophile, and that Generative AI is being used to make CSAM (legally, apparently), in addition to the fact that Generative AI steals from artists and does not create very many actual long-term jobs, are also all playing a part
You can "just say" all you want, and yes those can cause harm, but the fact is roads and highways are not comparable to generative AI. Interesting what you took from my comment.
