Imagine going through the deep dark after fighting like 50 wardens in pitch black, openeing the portal finally, and walking in... to see pastel pink and stupid bunny blobs. WHY??? the deep darks scary n shi, and then the portal dimensions some pretty pink princess place. i hate it. I would like if the sift added like infection or dead zones tho!

Dude, you arent getting my point. I like the idea of the Sift, and i like those blorb things. But it feels VERY out of place, or just a marketing tactic. Isint this sub supposed to be a safe place to vent.

I mean the end in dungeons 1 is a bit different than in the base game. Also if dungeons is an accurate representation then that means the sift should be hostile given the nature of dungeons 2 as a game about combat. (I haven’t played dungeons 2 so take this with a grain of salt)
Eh, i mean i dont see it. The skulk is a mold type thing, the cities a dead husk, it would be so much cooler if the sift was simmilar yet slightly diffrent. like giant patchs of dead and a few alive.

True, but i still dont see the appeal? I would have liked if the sift would atleast semi follow the actual vibe? like maybe a few sift biomes with parts destroyed or in ruins and all covered in skulk mold.
Tldr, the reason why it's so different is because the flora from the Sift isn't used to the physical climate of the Overworld, which leads to it becoming all the freaky stuff in the Deep Dark
I mean yeah i got it, but it could atleast have some biomes with like a portal to the end city filled with rot, atleast good lore, like nether portal ruins in the overworld.
We don't know enough about the sift to be honest. I feel like the Deep Dark we see is some kind of corruption or something because something that stood out to me while playing Dungeons 2 and someone has definitely pointed out by this point is how the Singer looks pretty similar to the Warden. Also some thing to note is that while I went through the sift were the patches of sculk I noticed on the ground. If the sift is the "pretty pink princess place" as you make it out to be what's with the random patches of sculk that contrast with the environment? Plus all of the newer enemies that resemble the sculk and warden's appearance.
I personally feel like you're casting judgement too quick, and that there's more to it that meets the eye that we just don't know yet. Whether they reveal it in dungeons 2 or base game first I feel like we're going to get more Deep Dark related content through the sift, because either it's another ecosystem that's a part of the sift or some kind of corruption native to the sift tainting that "pretty pink princess" vibe.

Well yeah, but it's still present in the Sift itself when by all means it shouldn't be if its like other people saying that it's not in it's natural environment. But considering the other sculk creatures present in the sift means that the Deep Dark sculk could be native to the Sift. Basically what I'm trying to say is that the Sift could have it's own Deep Dark environment, and not just be sunshine and rainbows land that it sounds like you think it will be.

I like the idea of installing TaCZ and tearing it up with a kitted-up M4, strip mining it for whatever useful resources, and killing/enslaving whatever mobs I find in Sift.
well we get obsidian from just mixing water and lava and we make a nether portal a polar opposite of the over world and then you go into a slightly calmer world that is still kind of strange the end and then in the overworld underground in the deep dark with the portal it goes into another world that is the opposite of it but kinder looking seems right to me
I personally dislike the Sift, it just happens to not appeal to my tastes (and I want a GODDAMN END UPDATE MOYANG WE'VE BEEN ASKING FOR YEARS) but I dont think its THAT bad, i think its kinda cool how different it is from everything else despite it not suiting my personal tastes, im still excited to see whats in it
I dont see how thats a problem. I think thats just a you thing. Never has that been an issue in any other circumstances, not in Twilight Princess, not in Kingdom Hearts, never have I heard of people having an issue of a game going from a dark scene to a light scene before
