Dust
Probably going to be a dusty Hula. Bring a face covering, gator, bandana, etc. When you get back to camp, rinse your nose out with saline. Only YOU can prevent wook flu. Happy Hula!

This year I made these patches to those who double dipped in the Suwannee River this year for Resonate and Hulaween. Come find me and my brother as Finn and Jake on Thursday, Firemen on Friday, and skeletons on Saturday. Happy hula yall can’t wait to see yall in the swamp!

We have not heard anything about a burn ban so fires seem to be a go at this point!!
A friendly reminder - please do not bring in wood from outside the area due to non native pests. As you drive north on County Road 129, passing Busy Bee on your right, you will begin to see locals offering fire wood on the side of the road as you approach the park. Bring cash and load up because it's going to be cheaper than what the park offers at the general store.
Fire Tips/Advice: It's a good idea to bring a rake for clearing your campsite and fire area of brush. Bring long BBQ lighters, fire starters (fatwood is the best) and lighter fluid. Going to bed or to the venue? Make sure the fire is fully extinguished. Keep in mind this is a unique privilege that Suwanee offers, it could be revoked anytime, so be responsible !
Don't want to deal with a fire? Our camp uses a portable propane fire pit and it's the best (all the vibes without the smoke and hassle).

Nothing worse than a dirty festival ass and destroying the environment with baby wipes.

Sooooooooooo what happens if you get an injury literally 3 days before hula🥲? My fiance got bursitis in his knee and it’s swollen like a baseball. He is so upset because obviously he doesn’t wanna miss out on hula. We’re almost all packed and ready for it and now he’s worried he’s unable to have a good time.
I’m thinking crutches & maybe bringing a little stool / chair in might be okay? Not sure if they even allow that
Has anyone had something similar happen? Did you still go? Can we request a pass for him to use the shuttles? Crutches or not… it’s still A LOT of walking. Looking for any advice. We’re so bummed. ☹️

I won’t be coming for the first day but it’s so unclear if I’ll be able to bring my car in to park at the campsite.
Does anyone have any experience or helpful/tips details?
Thank you in advance 💟

Hi and Happy Hula!
I am curious to hear from anyone who has used the ADA shuttle services. Does anyone have a details on how shuttles are requested, or is there always someone at the spots/making their rounds. Curious about the wait time as well for these.
I am making a request this year due to spinal surgery recovery and other lingering injuries. This will be my 10th Hulaween and I don't want to let my injuries prevent me from celebrating with my community.

Can I bring in some small snacks like granola bars or tuna packs into the venue? Trying to only get one meal from food vendors a day so I’d like to bring a couple snacks in with me.

I unfortunately had to purchase my tickets last minute. The seller overnight shipped…4 days ago. I’ve been watching the tracking like a hawk…says it won’t be here until tomorrow evening (I am supposed to leave tomorrow AFTERNOON).
I live in Maryland, so it’s a hike. I bought early arrival. I can’t really push off the drive.
Is it possible to have a person’s ID and order number/proof of purchase at will call and get a replacement band? I understand it’s a fee.

I have thick curly hair. I arrive in on Thursday but timing is murky. Is there someone I can connect with who will braid my hair so it's manageable for the weekend? TIA!

Hi everyone!! my boyfriend and i decided to last minute send hula for saturday/sunday and i am soooo excited!! I am wondering if any hula veterans could give me some advice on camping as the open campgrounds situation is new to us. (it’s our first hula!) We plan on arriving around 10PM friday night, i know most of the grounds will be filled already- any advice on where to look for some space?
Thanks in advance!
(also wondering if/where we could find some renegades friday night😊)

I really have no idea what I’m doing or where I’m going just trying to catch a vibe and jam out. Don’t rlly want to hike 80 miles to get to the main venue or a place near good afters. Anything helps tbh.

This will be my first Hulaween this year and I'm super excited! I will not be camping but driving in everyday and was wondering if there would be a parking lot for the people who would be driving to the festival? If so do you have to pay everyday or is it free?

Bought the early bird. It's not supposed to ship until 9pm tomorrow night I bought it 12 days ago. Think they'll make me buy a whole new parking pass?
r/hulaween • u/_Nilbog_Milk_ • 16h ago
Hey y'all! I'm in a group and there was a miscommunication about arrival time. We have early arrival passes. I have to work Tuesday during the time we're supposed to come. My husband (not attending) could drop me off at the gate after I get off work - but as far as we know, the group isn't allowed to move the car/leave the campsite once they're parked to pick me (and my stuff) up at the gate.
Is that true for early bird days too?
Just needing to figure out if I need to hitchhike at the gate or call out (I really need the money after missing a lot of work for this, so not ideal)
Thank you! 🧚♀️

Hey guys! It’s my first hula and I’ll be in staff camping. I want to be close to pickup for shifts but the main goal is to be decently close to showers. Any recommendations on camping spots? Thank you!!

Wondering what to prepare for when getting close on the small roads. Is it overly crazy or normal?
