Circular finance. Learning from the Ai ceos
2 u/wytewydow 6h ago broken window fallacy 3 u/Nicios 6h ago That is not a fallacy, a lot of russians have left this world because a broken window 😅 1 u/wenoc 4h ago For those of you like me that hadn’t heard about this fallacy before: It comes from Frédéric Bastiat’s 1850 parable. A boy breaks a shop window, and onlookers console themselves: the glazier gets paid, he spends that money, and the economy hums. Bastiat’s point was that this only counts what is seen (the glazier’s job) and ignores what is unseen. The shopkeeper would have spent that money on something else, like shoes, which would have employed the shoemaker and left him with a window plus shoes. Instead he has just a window. Society is poorer by one window.
