Today’s proceeding is a special one because this is the first ever OSC Court session taking place right here on r/inanimateinsanity! And for our grand debut in this subreddit, we are officially bringing forward Case YINDLE: The People vs. Candle & Yin-Yang.

The defendant(s) stand before this bench not for their established canon transgressions, but to face trial for whatever allegations the prosecution brings forward today. In this courtroom, you, the commenters, constitute the prosecution, defense counsel, investigating officers, witnesses, and jury pool.

1: How to Allege.

Any allegation filed against the defendant(s) must be introduced using the mandatory statutory phrasing:

The People allege that [INSERT ALLEGATION / HEADCANON HERE]

Failure to do so will result in a warning, and repeated infractions shall result in the removal of yourself from court for the rest of the session

2: Raising an Objection & Presenting Evidence.

If you do one of the following, you are acting in the capacity of learned counsel. Should counsel wish to challenge an allegation, you must formally address the bench by stating “Objection, Your Honour” (or alternatively, “Objection, u/BigTennis4580”) followed immediately by the statutory grounds and factual basis for your challenge. Should counsel wish to tender supporting evidence, you must formally advise the bench of your intent prior to entering your exhibits into the record.

3: Grace Periods and What Does It Mean.

After a comment has been submitted, the judge will not give a verdict until a statutory grace period of fifteen (15) to thirty (30) minutes has elapsed. This mandatory waiting period allows learned counsel to lodge objections, tender supplementary exhibits, or substantiate their arguments.

If you haven’t checked what the verdicts mean in the the information post, please do so, but for this matter, let’s talk about the highest honour and the harshest penalty:

Always remember to choose your allegations wisely as it may either result in receiving the highest honour (which is having your submission declared 🏴‍☠️ COURT PROPERTY and being stolen), or finding yourself facing immediate custodial sentencing under the charge of ☠️ NEVER ALLEGE AGAIN, resulting in Inanimate Insanity Invitational fashion, a all-expenses paid trip to Indefinite Island courtesy of the Fist Thingy!

Today’s session will have three unwritten rules to keep in mind:

Rule A: it is recommended that all counsel refer to Candle and Yin-Yang as GOATdle and GOAT-Yang. Any unprovoked, unsubstantiated slander against our serene aura-reading queen or our beautifully chaotic duality duo will be met with a immediate ☠️ NEVER ALLEGE AGAIN and you will get an all-expenses paid trip to Indefinite Island.

Rule B: romance headcanons are 100% encouraged. This rules usually takes place if the judge actually ships the two people on trial. However, that does not apply to the overused “family/mother and son” headcanons. If you try to enter the tired “mother and son” narrative into the official court record, don’t be surprised if your claim gets an immediate 🟠 CONTEMPT OF COURT.

Rule C: Since Yin-Yang and Candle are the judge’s two favourite characters in Inanimate Insanity, please be aware that they will be extremely biased .in their favor. If you present high-tier, wholesome. romantically charged peak Yindle content, your chances of receiving a favorable ruling or having your submission declared 🏴‍☠️ COURT PROPERTY increase exponentially. Conversely, bad-faith slander or baseless character assassination directed at either half of this pairing will increase your chances of reviving a negative ruling or getting falcon punched to Indefinite Island.

The court would also like to remind everyone that allegations shall be headcanons only. Any allegations that are just reiterating established canon will immediately be hit with a 🔴 INVALID ruling without a grace period. However, you may use canon events as evidence. And as always, no offence should be  taken because this is all good fun, pure banter, and harmless roleplay.
